I met Ms. Bauer...she joined her husband who was working on 'The Valentine's Day Love Boat' TV movie, that I also worked on, and was introduced to our table at dinner, one night.
CONT...karma got lorie when the next man she became involved with turned out to be her half brotha,i remember she was so devastated and still wanted to continue being involved with him despite this but he decided to leave town for good!
Great storylines back then,
then originals started getting replaced by awful replacement actors and y&r went downhill after that!!
remember the time when she manipulaterd brad away from leslie her sister,for herself and she caused leslie to hav an emotional breakdown while playing in front of a concert audience and then she wrote a dirty book based on leslie after brad left her for leslie

Actually, it was her mother-in-law Vanessa Prientess who was a real psycho crazy bitch, lol!! She definitely got revenge on Lorie by setting her up for her own murder!
It's ridiculous how Y&R writers wrote out the Brooks, Foster and later the Williams Family........the writers were definitely wrong. I miss them and I feel we long-time viewers got screwed.
I know, I could never understand why the writers wrote those entire families out (particularly the Brooks), since they were popular. Not only that, but the way the writers completely wrote out the Brooks family, would have you believe as if they never existed on the show. The reason why I bring this up, is because there hasn't been a second generation of characters from the Brooks, like they have with the Abbotts (Billy), the Williams (Heather) and the Fosters/Chanslor (Phillip).
The song is called Love is Lost and it's on the Y&R soundtrack released in 74. It's avail at Amazon in mint condition for about $10! I bought one (vinyl) and got the vinyl/cassette transfer to CD stereo unit at Target just for this reason. Great music! As for Jamie-Lynn--she is def in my top 5 of all time best characters and actors in soaps (there were better actors technically, but NONE I loved more than her!) Bring Laurie back indeed!!!!!
I really forgot Victor proposed to Lori. She looked good in this brief return to Genoa City. Love how the let us reconnect with old characters. Always makes me misty.
Lorie Brooks left Victor at the alter in the fall of 1982. The actress Jamie Lynn Bauer left Y&R that year, to star on the prime time soap on NBC opposite Genie Francis of General Hospital fame called Bare Essence. She was on the show for one season in late 1983. The show was cancel in the spring of 1984.
