Paintball i know to be better than airsoft, and i dont play airsoft often but i have; Paintball has the Nppa and other Professional Paintball leagues. Airsoft has.... nothing. Weigh it how you want to; but airsoft isn't a Sport its a recrational past-time, paintball is catorgorized as a sport.
Let me settle this, paintball is not bad but I prefer airsoft. Some people say paintballs better and some people say airsofts better but nobody notices they are completely different sports. So what I'm trying to say is it's based one an opinion like do you like to be shot by balls filled with paint that can seriously hurt you or bbs that can seriously hurt you.
Alright all you kids who say paintball feels like nothing here is what you should do. Chrono a paintball gun all the way up. Shoot yourself with it bare skin. Next take an Airsoft gun with the highest FPS and shoot yourself again with it bare skin. on a scale of one to HOLY SHIT! Witch one hurt worse. Paintball=HOLY SHITFUCK! Airsoft=Meh it stung for a bit. Yeah and also we don't have gay blaze orange tips on paintball guns.

I like paintball more, because it can be cheaper, the guns are easier to maintain, you get more of a workout while playing with all your gear on, and people don't have to have an honour system; you can see when they are hit. Paintball has the ability to be tactical as well as very fast paced, same goes for airsoft. It's all about how much money you have, and which sport is the most available in your area.

@98mccracken it all depends who you play with, where you play and what guns you are using.
some people play with 300 fps guns on semi auto only, and some play with 600 fps monsters that shoot 25 bbps, and everything inbetween.
none the less, 400 fps at 20 bbs is the normal setup usually, which will make you bleed at point blank on bare skin... if it doesn't pop into the skin. and thats why you have 15 ft minimum engagement.

i play paintball and anyone on here will agree but the pictures you show dont describe it, there are more people that play speedball and they don even wear camo compared to woodsball(wood paintball) i repsect both but people dont think paintball is fun because they have never played it.

i think pb is better, you'll know when you get hit bcuz u willl feel it and see the paint splatter, with airsoft they bounce right offf, ive played airsoft tournaments and they were not fun at all, pb is more realistic and if u are a military personnel, its pretty good training or blow off time.

@98mccracken it all depends who you play with, where you play and what guns you are using.
some people play with 300 fps guns on semi auto only, and some play with 600 fps monsters that shoot 25 bbps, and everything inbetween.
none the less, 400 fps at 20 bbs is the normal setup usually, which will make you bleed at point blank on bare skin... if it doesn't pop into the skin. and thats why you have 15 ft minimum engagement.

bottom line airsoft is more real no matter what you say or do air soft is more realistic yes at some mill. bases thay use paint ball but airsoft is the #1 sim for us and uk mill +you want a m4 rep. and have it b mid lvl you will pay about 200 on an airsoft gun and get many years of use out of it as compaird to paint ball you buy one and its not going to b that good for one most paintball rep. are VERRY EXPENCIVE and take fare more maitnece so to sum it up stop waisteing youre money on paintball
