Dave, Great start to the cold water series. I live in Hurricane, WV. It's nice to see a local boy in your video. I have a recommendation. When you are adding your narration increase the volume. There were a couple time you sounded muddled/muted, so it was hard to understand what you were saying. Keep up the good work.
Great Video Dave, Very real and raw. I'm loving the new channel. One reccomendadtion, dont make your voice overs so dramatic. Everybody knows your the man, you dont need to sound like it. Great post though, please keem them comming!
@jonstalk That knife was give to me, I figured I would test it that weekend. It did ok but I would rather had my Ka-bar Becker BK2. The BG knife is made of to soft of steel after getting some fire wood with it. You could see little nicks in the blade.
@1974mountainman oh thats not so good :S i was thinking of getting one but i guess i can't argue with in field work so maybe i'll look into other options. thanks and good job btw!

that guy from Florida and the paracord moron really new what they were doing! the fat dude on the ground from the previous WEMT vid's is really going to suffer! you can see that obesity + hypothermia = extreme laziness or maybe he's just a lazy guy i don't know, but he had no firewood and he gave up on building a shelter before he even got started! meanwhile the other 2 are set up and ready to start hunting in such a short period of time!
i love the way the guy @7.20 was looking around for cordage and yet was wearing the famous "survival" bracelet, sickens me the way it's become more fashionable than practical among the outdoor community.
@Snowalker13 They were allowed to choose thier Knife, and Clothing, they were each given the same gear otherwise, 1 PF Fire Kit, w/Mini Inferno, 1 Reusables Reflective Space Blanket, 1 Wool Blanket, and 1 Metal Container, They were left to what they carried for Cordage.
wonderful video, i have learned so much from your videos thank you so much. i watched an older movie last nite called THE EDEGE, the whole time i was watching i was thinking that this is the very reason we pratice and improve our skills. again thanks for all that you teach us to do.
Dave, absolutely love the vids and this channel, quick fuss though, the audio dub over is really low. I have to crank the volume to max to hear you then the vid itself blasts. I realize you are probably already aware and are fixing it, but just in case. Thanks again for being who you are.
Loving this new channel, great job guys, i know almost all of us are yelling at our screens "i could do alot better than that" but it looks like everything is really wet, looking forward to the next video

That's why I always carry a folding saw.. much easier to get firewood and some decent sized ones as well.
I am looking forward to seeing the next parts.

Why is airhead looking for cordage when he's wearing a 550 bracelet? ...kick him out the woods ....
iboston78 3 months ago
@iboston78 Why would you cut up something if you don't need to ?? I had another 10ft of cordage on my pack to use. .

Paracord Bracelets are for what? Looks or cordage? He must be really cold to not understand that.

I can be cold or I can be wet. Both at the same time increases the suck factor exponentially! Thanks for a great vid, Mr. Canterbury!

Dave were they allowed to bring what they considered the "right gear" or was the evolution per say provided with gear for them to choose from?
