Brigham City, UT - Ghost Child's Voice (EVP #1)

I've listened to a TON of EVPs and I'm always stumped at how the collector of the voice recording decides to interpret what he or she has "captured" on tape.

At this point I'm not even going to attempt a debate that EVPs aren't capturing SOMETHING....but I do diligently debate WHAT that 'something' is.

Me, I would hear it as scattered noise if it weren't for the 'hand-holding subtitles' every EVP recording inevitably comes with.

i live in brigham.... i think the school is the indian school...i was in there once and i saw blood writing on the wall saying get out!!! i heard that a long time ago priests sacraficed cats in the school so they would have god luck or some shit like that

i live like 2 1/2 blocks from the indian schools and i'd have to say they are a bunch of crap, i think the stories of it being haunted are just another way to keep people out of them. me and my friends have been there many times, and not once have we encountered any of these so called "ghosts" that are "haunting" them. granted there was the one that caught on fire and they never found out if it was kids messing around or if it was an electrical problem but all in all they are bunch of crap.

Me and my friends went inside one of the parts of the school. Like the door was boarded up but it was broken just enough so we could fit through and there was spray paint that said "Do Not Enter" on the top. We went and the whole time we where there the atmosphere was really heavy, we even found a cat cut clean in half with it looked like it had been burned. We have a video. I'll let you know when we post it.

So my friend's dad made a skating rink out of the old gym of that school, and he had access to all the buildings there at one point and he let us go explore. Yeah, that place is pretty messed up. Bat and bird poop everywhere!

Nope. Seriously, It just sounds like a mumble. If anyone watched that without you telling them it said something along the lines of "Can Jenny come home?", I bet very few people- most likely none- would interpret it as "Can Jenny come home?".

If you contact me I will be more than happy to give you details of just what happend there. My grandfathers founde Willow Camp (Brigham City) and I have family that still lives there. I would love to go back to "The School" to show some of the places that I do know about. Oh yeah, one more thing about "Bushnell", the mental ward that I wrote about was for those who were amputees and PTSD victims of WWII. Between the military patients and the Navajo/Apaches that resided there, some still remain.

Tunnels. There are MANY underground tunnels throughout this facility even some that go into town to the old Cooley Hospital neary a mile away. Most have been "sealed" however, there are some that can be followed from building to building within the Intermountain property. The one experience that I personally had that still frightens me to this day is that which happend in a "detention room". This room is no more than 8x10 and has two doors, as I recall.

What I have found interesting is that when the school was sold, the mental ward was not tore down however, all of the surrounding buildings were. I am sure there was a reason. I have been all through that facility and in fact was part of the salvage crew after the facility was purchased. Where UT has a great deal of snow accumulation, to transport patients from OR to recovery or phys rehab to housing, the best solution to this was addressed in the construction of the hospital itself.

LPI I was born and raised in Brigham City and my father was a student there. I know of a few places at Intermountain (Bushnell Army Hospital) that are very active. The mental ward of Bushnell still stands. Between 01:30hrs and 03:30hrs voices, screams and manic laughing can be heard from outside the building, never dared to go inside of here. Also the bowling alley has been known to be quite active. I bet you never found where that is, did you!!? Two specific hallways and a "detention room."
