  • Poe married his 12 year old first cousin... Just saying.

  • I like this kind of animation. Especially since it's stop motion. This scenery reminds me of German gothic expressionism like that in the original Nosferatu movie and many black and white silent horror movies (which are awesome).

  • 212 people are reading "Go Jane Go".

  • Genial!!!!! =)

  • I have watched this too many times to count :)

  • i like this kinda gothic stuff

  • In Pace Requiescat, Vincent.

  • "Nevermore"

  • I hate this kind of animation! It's so dark and creepy and makes me feel weird. Never watching again.

  • @daryatk that's the point haha. i guess you don't like nightmare before christmas or much other tim burton? i used to feel that way but i like it now c:

  • @daryatk you forgot (creative )..... creepy weird and creative

  • This is seriously like the story of my life. -3

  • @LilMonster1411 I agree. That's exactly how I used to feel as a boy, and sometimes the feeling comes back. I don't even see it in a negative way, I suppose some people just 'enjoy' their darker side.

  • 30 freaking years... i miss Vincent Price

    and Tim Burton

  • Omg love this video!

  • WoooW it's amazing!! and scary

  • I have officially raped the replay button :) I love Tim Burton, he gives me inspiration. I too shall be a director except in a different situation.

  • Love this animation. Tim Burton's work is amazing! <3

  • When i saw the title I read...

Tim Burton: The Animated Autobiography, Chapter 1: The Beginning

  • This is a master piece! vincent is Just like me!

  • YAY vincent, boo tim burton

  • @Rachulie ...... tim burton is almost our last hope for good entertainment these days..

  • @pokalotasmot i really dont like his work. a few things (big fish was great) yeah but not most. i think bc i just cant stand claymation in general.

  • @Rachulie Oh haha I see just his style of entertainment doesnt fit your needs i understand :) lol

  • sent chills down my spine

  • @JuggalettexSpaz lol, awesome! I'm glad your not giving him JUST the Disney version :D

  • @WSEvins I find the real versions to be much more... fun? Haha.

  • watch The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari to get the origin of the aesthetic of this (german expressionism)

  • I was six or seven when I first read 'The Raven'. XD

  • I see so much of Edward Scissorhands in the feel of this anime.

  • @vulnaviadraco not anime...

  • @ERKRAKANARB TY, I stand corrected.

  • @ greenmonster1997 i agree wif u!

  • This is sooooooo freaking awesome

Like if u agree with me:)

  • This is awesome, but I think my kids'll have to wait till the're OLDER than 7 before I let 'em read Edgar Allan Poe!

  • @WSEvins My son is a year old and I've already started reading him the Grimm Fairytale's like how I used to have read to me. Edgar Allen Poe was my favorite author at that age also. Nightmare Before Christmas was my favorite movie. You can never be too young to read good literature and be inspired by such creative writers. People are too sensitive nowadays.

  • I just love vincent price and Tim burton.

  • doesn't 4:58 remind anyone of the upcoming movie "ParaNorman"?

  • Comment removed

  • Gosh Tim Burton's amazing

  • @PrismPhoenix I respect your opinion, but honestly I don't think 'Vincent' should be changed. There was a reason Vincent Price was chosen to narrate, to name some he's one of Tim Burton's biggest influences, Vincent wants to be like him,and believes he is at one point, and in my opinion, his voice is perfect for this short film, definitely adds to the darkness in it.

  • at 1:24 in the upper left corner and at 5:10

on the "wife's" left side theres a Jack Skellington cameo(: and this short film is amazing,Tim Burton is my idol!

  • if they do a digitaly restored version of this, i wanna see david tennant narrate this!

  • @PrismPhoenix what!? compared to Pryce

  • @jimbobhk2009 why not? i think he has what it takes, besides, doing "book at bedtime" with vampire stories. i think it would be great for his fangirls, including me. david tennant has a very sexy voice that would melt any fangirl's heart.

  • 1:43 Oogie Boogie anyone? :3

  • is this all? i wanted 2 c more, and how can a 7 year old, die from thoughts

  • American Horror Story

  • ahhh vincet price <3 love him and love tim burton & rick heinrichs for this nod to all of us out there who'd wanna be price

  • Love it!

  • I love Tim burton so much!hes amazing and creative in his own way!!!!! - 3

  • This reminded me of myself when I was a kid. Except with Super Mario instead of Vincent Price.

  • Damn son!

  • I remember watching this when I was 5, it scared the crap outta me!

  • i still love edgar allan poe and I'm only a few years older then him

  • claymation is tim burtons specialty

  • this is my normal side of youtube

  • I have it good, very good, and I'm grateful, but since the age of seven, I've become hateful towards all humans in general. -kurt cobain

  • I znowu jestem w tej dziwnej części youtube

  • If nobody gets the ending it gose like this: he ends up getting scared of all of his thoughts and passes out also priceless face at 2:59

  • If nobody gets the ending it Bose like this:

  • at 2:48 which of edgar allen poe's writings is he reading about his wife ? just wondering im a big fan of him .

  • @ChloeLuvsYew123 I would say "Ligeia" but the topic of beeing buried alive also appears in "The Premature Burial".

  • "Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore..." A great poem!

  • for some reason i found vincent quit creepy in a way

  • @spongypenguinmasacre who not :D

  • check a short movie: Theatre XXX 1995 on youtube

  • ok ... thats creppy

  • Reminds me of all the children out there suffering from depression but not having a complicated enough grasp of language and communication to even express how sad they feel, no one can understand what they are going through.

  • Wooaaaah...

  • How long, did it take, Tim, to do this short.

  • @TheNatkidd Very, very bad use of commas. Unless, of course, you wanted your sentance to sound like utter BS

  • @MrChaoscheese Im just saying. How long did it take Tim, to do this short.

  • @TheNatkidd There is no need for a comma between Tim and to do. And you need a question mark to fullfill your question.

This is how you should say it " How long did it take Tim to make this short?"

  • @MrChaoscheese Okay. Okay. Just tell me, How long did it take Tim to make this short. I see my problem's with my commas.

  • @MrChaoscheese It's spelled 'sentence'. :D

  • @Rainleaf13 Haha, in all my correction I made a mistake myself. Well done for spotting. Haha.

  • WHO THE HELL WOULD DISLIKE THIS?!1??!!?!?!

  • Lol, can't believe i didn't know vincent price was narrating, normally i could identify his very quickly.

  • WE LOVE TIM BURTON<3

  • Beautiful

  • Who wouldn't wana be Vincent Price?

  • @TheLawliet10 me. he's dead

  • man, this is old like my own auntie and still gives me the creeps!!!

  • Burton is the best

    Burton jest super

  • This is one of my favorite Tim Burton creations <3

  • -3 loved it! Tim Burton is pure amazing :)

  • Nice Video.Tim Burton is the best. And E.A. Poe. too. I only say: Quoth the raven, "Nevermore."

  • amazing as usual forever more!

  • now im emo :D

  • what is the song played in the beginning called? it;s so familiar

  • @avemnevoiesideiarba The Streets of Cairo, or the Poor Little Country Maid

  • Love Tim Burton's work and also this short video :) but please, why is his mother the biggest "bad guy" ever? Go out and have some real fun? Why can't anybody just think about this is also kind of real fun?

  • Rewelacyjne!

    I do love it!

  • Bad.ending.

  • Wow, it didn't involve that bobble-head woman who they didn't have to photoshop for Alice in Wonderland or the slimy drug addled skeezy middle aged man with the wispy super-sleazy moustache. There was once a time when Tim Burton's stuff didn't utterly suck! :O

  • Love this.

  • -this was amazing. genius!!

  • @CaramelCleo You know what's weird? I've watched Ryan Woodward's 'Thought Of You' probably 117+ times (I'm getting it tattooed on my arm) and I've NEVER had any of these animation videos suggested for me! Until now. I guess I know how I'm spending my afternoon!

  • @AuroraBlue76 A worthy way to spend the afternoon (now I'm off to find "Thought of You" , because if you're getting a tattoo of it.....it must be good! lol)

  • Thanks Elentor. This is cool.

  • I hope to come at least a little close to Mr. Burton's genius by following his footsteps in macabre and creepy writings/productions. <3

  • @linkfan160 Awesome! Don't let anything take you down! x]

  • @XxRottenMuffinxX You too! ^^

  • My favorite part 4:18 " you're not Vincent Price, you're Vincent Malloy. You're not tormented or insane; you're just a young boy, you're seven years old and you are my son. I want you to get outside and have some real fun"

  • Great!

  • thumbs up if your name is Vincent!

  • Probably reality got to him in the end.

  • MAn what a genius!

  • Time Burton had some talent before he started making shit like Planet of the apes.

  • Oh. My. God... this is freaky. But AWESOME!!!

  • @ZlatkoTheGod Coraline was directed by Henry Selick and produced by Bill Mechanic Claire Jennings Henry Selick and Mary Sandell i see your confusion because on the cover of Coraline it says from the director of nightmare before Christmas which was Produced by Tim Burton NOT directed it was directed by Henry Selick C=

  • vincent price and tim burton... what a magnificent combination. i have a friend who hopes that one day when she has a son he will look like the child in this video.

  • @rockrose10 That would be quite and endevor hehe. Amazing to say the least. However, having the reincarnation of vincent price would be even more of a plus. ;)

  • this is claymation! not animated ...i love it eiher way :)

  • @crazydork27 It's not claymation. It's stop-motion. Same as Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride, and Coraline.

  • As soon as he said "Nevermore," my dog started whining...

  • Ahh another great classic from good ole Tim Burton. Another tail to love I see:)

  • But fell limp and lifeless down on the floor!

His voice was soft and very slow..

As he quoted The Raven from Edgar Allen Poe:

And my soul from out that shadow

That lies floating on the floor

    Shall be lifted... Nevermore .........

  • @odism1 Edgar Allan Poe. sorry had to correct. He's my favorite writer of all time XD

  • Who doesn't want to share a home with spiders and bats? :D

  • Gives the feeling of a mental Euphoria as all Tim Burton films do

  • I always thought having the initials T.B. for myself was horrible because everyone was like "Tuberculosis", but now I can say that they are the same as the great master of horror Tim Burton.

  • This is great. Vicent Price is the gretatest actor. I love the raven narrated by him.

And Edgar Allan Poe is the greatest writer that has walk on this lonley earth....

  • he deserves every penny he gets for making stuff like this

  • to be a 1982 film is well made of course it has to be is from tim burton i mean who could expect less from him but yeah tim burton only knew succes go tim burton
