This is chachacha in 1988 and what today's dancing came from. Looks funny though, especially the costumes. In 20 years they will probably think the same of today :-)

  • I'm sorry...I know styles and fashions evolve and change over time...but NO woman looks good in shoulder pads. Just my humble opinion.

And I disagree with the choice of Flashdance-esque pantsuits, especially unisex ones. :D

  • I'm sorry but they really look Funny!!! :)))

Anyway all of them Great dancers and today Top teachers in the World!!!

  • But thank you so much for posting these older videos! It is great to learn where the artform came from..and where it has come-- and a good indication of where it may be headed.

  • AAAAAAHHHHHHH What are they...I know I need to be temporally...relativistic....but what are they wearing??? And those shoes are so....oh boy. Reminds me of strictly ballroom

  • You are so right about the outfits. The dancing is much faster and slicker moves without losing their musicality. The steps or figures are more advance than in the 70's or early 80's.Good music too. Thanks for posting

  • OMG, these old costumes kill me!
