Was expensive but worth every penny. Solid built Quality and a really good performer.
Made in Japan, the newer Sony receivers have more features like HDMI , 7.1 ch etc. but have to much electronic stuff in it like dnla , i-pod support?? WTF.
I'm trying to build an all SONY system, Sony recivers go for less than retail on amazon. Ther ei an entry level one used for $99.99 its from 2007 so it has Dolby HD
Gerchy, your small TV been long enough as a temporary. Its really time to get a bigger TV. Maybe you oughta sell your Sony old tech components and get a new SONY 55-60 LED. lol Keep it up!

Such a pity that Sony gave up making decent mid- high end stuff.
I have an ES system including speakers - it ROCKS !
I went looking for a new digital DTS amp to go with my Blu Ray recently
Most of the current hi-fi feels /looks cheap - plastic controls even on £700 amps = JOKE!
In the end I purchased another (expensive) Blu Ray player with built in decorder to add to my Sony kit.....
Such a pity that Sony (and others) have lost the plot.....
