  • I was on a BLM fire crew from Nevada on this blaze. My heart goes out to the Sierra Vista community, on behalf of my fellow firefighters, thank you so much for everything you donated to us despite losing so much, it was awe inspiring to return to camp from the front to new socks, bandaids, sun screen etc. I hope you all see better days then those, God Bless.

  • It amazed me to see how SV came together in this time of need. We held 12 people, 8 dogs, a turtle and a cat while this was going on. It was sooo scary seeing the fire, ecspecially since i'm only 13. Thank you so much firefighters for how brave you all were. God bless.

  • @tiger141regit I'm 13 also.

I really wanted to hurt an illegal. I blame it on them to this day. It just made me so mad!

  • Thank you for this beautiful tribute. I've lived in this area for 12 years and I am so proud to be part of this community. EVERYONE stepped up to the plate and took care of each other. We evacuated our friends to our house, then all of us were evacuated and we went to my folks house and then on Father's Day we were all evacuated from their house and we ended up in Benson at a motel. A time I will never forget but am proud to be a part of! God bless!

  • Nice Tribute. It was a pretty crazy time but we pulled together as a community in an amazing way. Glad to see some of my Vids are getting some good use (@0:36).

  • 0:34 i rember waking up to that when i was just peaking over that part of them mountain thats when we started packing and getting ready

  • This video always brings tears to my eyes, it heads right to my heart everytime I hear it. I could listen to it 100 times, or 10 years from now, it would still make me cry, what a thing coming from a grown man that is over 6 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds, I guess I am a sissy, but I lived those days, and it still hurts badly to see the suffering my fellow residents went through, God Bless this video and the man that made it!

  • am so glad the fire is out god helped so much in brimging the rain to sierra vista i do not live there anymore but it was sad to see that happen i love sierra vista and have many friend there and was very worried

  • Very well done and very appropriate song. Thank you for your hard work. Sending link to my son who is overseas so he can see what happened.

  • This continues to be a source of inspiration. Bless you, for having taken the time to do this. It is still being shared by so many. God Bless you!

  • It makes me sad to see my home going up in flames. I was born and raised there and Sierra Vista means a lot to me. Thank you to everyone who helped during this monument fire. Much love! <3

  • Thank you for making this beautiful video God bless you and to all

  • Thank you for a beautiful video. It truly showed just what a miracle the firefighters performed in putting this fire out. God Bless all who helped during this horrific event

  • I have family down there as well as friends I am glad everyone is safe I pray for the rebuilding Thank you for making this video

  • 2 people are from the drug cartells that started this mess

  • Thank you so much for this AMAZING tribute to everyone in our community. Let no one say that the entire community was not affected in one way or another. Even those of us who were not directly affected by the fire and its ravaging affect were in some way affected...friends, family, or simply by the fear of what was to come and the faith it caused us to realize we had to trust. This has been a favorite song of mine for a while now, but a tthis time and forever forward it will have a new meaning.

  • Makes me think about what really matters. Homes have been lost and it was a long two weeks, and more to follow. But oh, so many people have reached out. It's all about the people. And faith. This says it all. Thank You.

  • I dont understand how anyone can dislike this video. This video puts what the fire did to everyone's perspective. It also shuts down any comments saying that it was not a dangerous situation to be in. Thank you for making this tribute!

  • My family lives in Hereford and they were evacuated and finally got to go back home safely yesterday.

  • Thank you for this gift! Yes, the touch up increased the impact; thanks for finding a picture for "hands raised". I think people realized through this that we CAN lose everything we own and still have everything we need.

  • I will never stop loving this town. I almost had to evacuate. Because the fire on buffalo soldier trail. It brings me so much joy on how we all came together to help each other.

  • i am currently in costa rica but my parents watch this all day with my 8 month old brother

  • SAD AND SHAMEFUL.WHY HAS AMERICA ALLOWED OUR BORDERS TO BECOME SO POROUS. SAD AND SHAMEFUL.

  • My friend lives in Sierra Vista and I am in Utah. My heart goes out to all of you. This brought me to tears.

  • Oh thank you! We lived in Sierra Vista for 6 months and I can't believe this is happening to this beautiful place! I feel for all of you have had so much pressure and trouble down there. I cried, and I pray that the lords will be done and everyone will be ok!

  • This is great. Very sad though. You should add some pictures of our soldiers as well.

  • We LOVED this video and I CRIED. The first time since we evac'd I was able to cry. It sounds weird, but thank you for that.

  • If you download real player you can actually download it to your computer easily. I could never ask for money from this as it belongs to the community and all the people watching it, not to me.

  • @MrPhoenix9884 ,

I would be happy to donate to the charity of your choice for the privilege of having this wonderful piece of work!

  • @UsryTregre i would be happy to email it to you for free :)

  • How can we buy a copy of this?!?!?!?!

  • Wow thank you everyone for taking the time to watch this and share with friends and loved ones. It has far exceeded my expectations and my hope is for it to touch everyone watching it and show everyone what we as a community have been struggling with for the past couple of weeks, and how it has brought us closer together. My heartfelt sympathy to everyone who has lost homes and animals, and you are all in my prayers. My deep Gratitute to all those helping to extinguish and all the members

  • of the community who stepped up and showed the compassion that we all needed in these times. God bless everyone of Sierra Vista and all the surrounding areas we really are blessed to have eachother.

  • I came home today and the fire burned up to my yard brick wall on two sides. I live across the street from the restaurant at 58 sec. After it burned it jumped the highway and came after me. Thank God I didn't lose my house. The watering fill point for the helios was 1/2 mile from my house so I thought they would easily be able to protect my property. The winds were 60mph and the fire jumped the road and came after me and the helios and tankers were ground because of the winds. I made it!

  • What an awesome video ! This community has come together and will survive.

Thank You for your hard work.....God Bless

  • Is there anyone who has not shed a tear watching your videos? Thank you so much for creating such a moving video. . . .you captured so much in three minutes time. It's amazing!!

  • oh wow... the fire didnt hit me.. but it was close, i actually know the guy in the burnt out place at 1:22 hes an old friend of the family.

  • Thank you, my brother lives in Sierra Vista.

  • thank you soo much for this video. It's too hard to explain to people what has been happening here. A picture definately speaks a thousand words.

  • Awesome video and music! God Bless you all and good luck overcoming this fire.

  • Thanks. I thought the first one was good as well. I got to see my son yesterday. He's waiting to hear from the insurance company. They let him go to the burned out carcass, but it was still too hot to try and see if anything wasn't destroyed..

Thanks again for this touching peice.

I'm actually a video producer, so if there is anything I can do to help down there let me know.

  • Beautiful job. Thank you.

  • Thank you for the video.

Mourning the hiking we can't share with our kids...still praying for all who have been working so hard and allwho lost so much.

  • This is beautiful. Thank you for putting this together. God bless you for being able to show His grace and beauty through this event. I commend you for using this as a way to minister as well ;) Well done!

  • Mr. Phx, thank you for putting this together. The song by Casting Crowns and the pics capture the essence of this terrible event. I, too, live in SV and weep for my friend, Larry, and others who've lost their homes. But, I am greatly heartened by how this town has drawn together to get through this awful time. God bless the firefighters, on the ground and in the air. PTL that there has been no loss of life nor serious injuries.

  • Awesome video! May God continue to bless all of the wild land Hot Shot crews, the urban firefighters, the aerial tanker pilots, spotters, police officers, sheriff deputys, and Fire Management Command staff with grace, safety and the knowledge that each one is a hero! Thank you Mr. Phoenix for telling the world about this disaster in a tasteful way!

  • My monitor got all blurry. God bless you guys and stay safe!!

  • This was an amazing video and it made me cry! Thanks

  • Yes, great images added do make more of an impact. "Our children will pay the price" gets me every time ... I'm so glad my parents and my children got to see the mountains in all their glory ... not sure what my children's children will see. My parents are gone now so thankfully they are spared the pain of seeing their beloved mountains taken down. May we all continue to be strong for what is still and yet to come. Thanks for this one too MrPhoenix!

  • Great video. I watched thru my binos as the church on the mtn burned down but the cross was spared. It was no accident.

  • Excellent.

SV is my hometown, the Huachucas are "my" mountains. We've seen this before, but it's heart breaking each time.

  • Beautiful & moving video.. My prayers have & is going out to everyone that fought this fire or have lost in this awful fire. God Bless them all.

  • awesome. VERY well done. I cried too. Yes, we will be there for everyone when the fire is now and when the fire is out. the absolute worst thing to happen is fire. Earthquakes ruin, but things can still be found. Floods wetten, but things can be dried out. Fire burns everything up. Nothing is left. Thank goodness almost everyone had prior notice. NO lives have been lost. Material things can be replaced, lives cannot. Thanks for this great video. It really tells it

  • I am so very blessed by this video! I hadn't seen many of these pics because I've been caught up in evacuating my animals or my own family! This is truly what I've seen though in our community...and...that's the very song running thru my head while I was scrambling to get animals evacuated! Thank you...

  • I have never felt so helpless as I have since this fire as gotten out of control. My family lives in the Sierra Vista area and now I am in PA, which right now feels like a million miles away. My family down plays the fire and tells it its not bad and the news is saying its worse than it is. My friends at work believe my family since the Monument Fire is not as large as the Wallow Fire but shows the truth thank you.

  • Love it, it really hits home. Now to put our town back together and help those who lost their homes get back onto their feet. I am so proud of the fire department and other emergency personal for working so deligently and fierce during this fire. YOU ARE APRECIATED!!!

  • you did a great job with this video. so inspiring. I cry every time I watch it.

  • Great production - the music is perfect. Did you do the photography? This really conveys a lot of emotions. If you live there - we're praying for you and the community. (My mother-in-law is evacuated) Anita from Pennsylvania.
