Don't forget ton tell the new generartion of Cambodians that this kind of dance was taught by Thai royal court during the time of King Norodom I ( Ang doung )
and don't distort the truth.
The culture of Angkor wat was destroyed and lost for very longtime before the new nation of Cambodia.
@sirisaktan dont forget to tell all tais that their culture, dance, music, alphabet, tradition comes from Cambodia before they backstabbed and stole everything from Cambodia and watered everything down even muy thai is a dumb-downed version of Bokator.
@sirisaktan Don't forget to tell the Thais that Siam invaded, and looted Khmer riches and captured all those artists and Khmer priests to Ayudhiya and made them teach khmer dance in the Siam court. Royal Thai adopted Khmer's concept of god-king, royal language and custom. If you know both languages you will know that Siam's writing, many words and vocabulary came from Khmer. If you think I lie, try to google Khmer Thai relationship through the arts and Thai writing.
My parents put my little sibling and I in khmer dance class and i hated being beat by my teacher lol but when we performed at Khmer New Years it was worth it!
Awesome footage. Thank you so much. I had no idea Khmer Classical Dance had an audience in Europe. Angkor Wat would be twice as popular if the NAZI hadn't bombed the one in France.
@BlueRice not all thai people are bad and not all combodian are bad, there are 2 sorts of people all over the world, doesnt matter how thai or cambodian, its about art thats why I like it so much^^
@BlueRice i can tho no matter wat some few thai say dont change the fact that they betrayed the khmer empire after we gave them aid from the mongols. then cause the collapse of our empire, enslaving 90.000 skilled and educated khmer settin our race back. centuries of progress lost, occupation of upper cambodia and one of the most unmoral killing of khmer refugee escaping the vietnamese invasion by the 10s of 1000s. I COULD KEEP ON GOING IF I WANTED.
Yeah, they use to paint their face totally white. But it's suppose to reduce the facial expression I think and put more visual focus on the bodily expressions.
wow thank you so much for uploading this video! this video is a very good resource. i can see how many things have changed back then. they danced more like Thai style also with the Thai influenced costumes. great video!
i always want to see Angkor wat when it was a brabd new temple
