i'm gettin a catachan battleforce to start an army, what else should i get??

you could just start with that for now. make sure you have the codex. then when you finish building and if you want to paint them all. then buy maybe a tank or too. or some more squads it depends how you want to build your army

it would be easierto make your own chapter since your not sur on what you want, I liked the ultramarines wich is very generic marines but I tought that the black templars codez was awesome too so I painted my marines a dark blue to match both choices so I could use them with either codex, hope it helped lol

coll armie but u shud really play cadians, catachans have good character but they dont look that futuristic and most of the heros are with the shock troops and they have really hav good rules, and i hav been played gurd for a long time.

i loled when you said vanilla marines, cuz luna wolves are vanilla in two ways. 1) they are creamy coloured, and 2)theyre codex followers

id do luna wolves though man, they were the bomb, they used drop pods up the butt, you could totally pull em off, you could probably just use the regular SM codex too

i know i really do want to but i want to do a pre heresy army right but the are the most expenise to get all the old armour and shit. i dont want to use normal marines it wouldn't do justice

yeah thats true man, thats kinda why i havent started one yet.

the best bet, is to save up some cash, and order the red scorpions torsos from forge world.

those are automatically pre heresy, which means you can fit a bunch of marines with proper torsos off the batt

blood angles there great in close-combat trust me on this. assault marines are troops! and there rhinos and baal predator can move 18 inches if u roll a 4-6 on a dice :)

they were renamed in honour of horus after a grand campaign, horus felt it was only fitting to name his sons after him

blood angels. nuff said. they have close combat dreadnoughts, and the death company, and veteran assault squads. if you want your own chapter, use a blood angels list but make your own scheme. thats what I did

ui love the look of them tanks !! i think the best thing for you is to run lunar wolfs as you wanted them real bad with the fluf and if you use the chaos rule book you get the best of both worlds also i think own chapter would be cool if you want cqb SPACE WOLFS ARE OUT IN OCT !!!

i agree theyre speed is their deadliest weapon, but its the speed AND the fierceness of close combat that wins the day for them.

all those assault marines as troops really gives a helping hand in my opinion
