Gorgeous kitties! I just found out that we have cougars in our local mountains the other day....I was born in La Crescenta Ca. and cougars had been extinct in the area for more than 100 years...turns out that this is no longer so as they've spotted one in CV Park 4 times in the last month. This is a park I'd gone to just about every day of my childhood, and to imagine that cougars roam the hills just above it is no less than incredible. Now let's hope nobody goes gun happy!

@Loshia2002 Yes, but it's also important to remember that they are dangerous, powerful wild animals, and can be unpredictable. Caution must be observed when in mountain lion territory. Respect your fellow predators and keep a healthy distance. If cougars so much as break human skin with their claws or teeth for any reason--even defending their cubs--that is a death sentence to them. It's also important that they not be allowed to get too comfortable around people, for the same reason.
