  • somebody shoot that fly!!!!!!

  • Why did you have Michael J Fox hold the camera?

  • Ok, who's raping that duck?

  • I was mildy interested in getting one at first, but after reading up on ar15.com and seeing the numerious problems and failures, even splitting barrels I determined it is basically a $100 gun for $500, that just "looks" cool. It seems to be in the quality neighbouhood of a lorcin saturday night special. I'd rather buy a ruger 10/22 for $150.

  • Does the 10round configuration gsg accept 22rnd and 110rnd magazines?

  • ive owned this gun for about a year its a sob to clean lol its an awesome gun. quite a few after market options for this weapon and very fun to shoot

  • @classyhobo60 I put off getting one cause I've heard it has issues with some ammo. Have you experienced this or is it like the Sig 522 and runs well with everything?

  • why ear protection? it's a goddamn .22

  • @emasterpiece15 in time it will damage your ears you only get them once therefore you should take care of them

  • great vid and great gun. but you need a suppressor for that camera lol

  • bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Your camera just made my night. I just laughed every time you zoomed.

  • gonna be shooting this tomorrow. looks fun to use

  • damn..the camera is louder than the rifle....u should really look into a suppressor for that 1970s camera.....lol...j/k....very nice rifle....looks bad ass

  • are these powerfull enough to kill a human at about 150 yards???

  • The zoom on that camera should not be used during video, it's a terrible noise.

  • is the hearing protection for the shooting or for the zooming? lol

  • i like this video

  • Don't think you needed the earphones on when shooting .22 outdoors, or were you shooting super-sonic ammunition? I wear headphones anyway when shooting outdoors but most of the other people i know don't bother. Does this rifle have a full-auto option? Because as long as it hasnt i may be able to get one in the UK, thanks, great vid btw ;)

  • @luckykingjordan

Not hard to tell that you have never owned a firearm ..... LOL! .22lr with no ear protection eh? Go ahead and try it..Also It would be called sub-sonic ammo, not supersonic...sigh.. And no it does not come in full auto and you would have to check you local gun and import laws for any kind of firearm.. Not on Youtube.. My advice would be to attend a novice gun safety class before you do anything.

  • @Toyman07 Haven't I? And what i was getting at is if it was super-sonic, he'd need to have ear protection, but i shoot 22 outside all the time without ear protection and i know that it's perfectly safe, i wouldn't attempt it indoors mind, it's bearable but not for extensive use, but then again, i shoot sub-sonic, CCI Standard if you must know, sorry for the confusion :/ Oh yeah, and btw i don't need a gun safety class :P

  • Can you take the fake suppressor off?

  • is this as accurate as the ruger 1022?

  • I remember that zooming sound on this video--the 'Terminator' was videotaping this video with his integrated video camera. :)

  • This gun is amazing I just posted my little clip with the GSG-5.22

Shot all day and only spent 28$

My stag ar-15 is about 1$ a round.

I probably shot 600 rounds out of the GSG not one round jammed. Great gun for the price plus the add ons are sick!

  • i really want one of these. but i think it would be soo awesome if it was in 22mag

  • @leoffensive

You can't use 22 mag in blowback systems too much pressure and burns too dirty.

  • @Toyman07 well that sucks :(

  • Thumbs up if you have shot this weapon :)

  • the camera was louder than the gun. lol

  • lol that Trijion is 3 times the price of the rifle. I guess it's better to never short change yourself.

  • Interested in this weapon...is this the ATI GSG-5 clone? are there other manufacturers that you know of?

  • can u kill somebody with this .22lr gun

  • any website to get this gun/..

  • Is this a reliable weapon? I'm thinking about buy this or the AK-47 for home defense. Price is no problem for me.

  • i've shot a 22 sig once and it jammed a lot, im more of a 9mm kind of guy, but i am looking for a 22 rifle and i read about ammo and the gold remingtons i've heard are the worst. the sig i shot was using that value 500 golden bullets. i suggest you use CCI

  • @blaziankhmer are u taling about the sig 522?? the .22 version of the sig 556? cuz i was just thinking abut buyin it but after seeing this idk... wat were your impressons on it?

  • @nick097 it was the sig mosquito, so now i wondering if i should even get any .22 lr at all. ammo is too expensive nowadays, need something to kill time with. but i am very tempted on buying a 10/22 but will probably not like the week cycling of a 22

  • Other than the gun looking cool, I simply cannot justify the price , to buy one, maybe if it came with two 50 rd

drums, and a free scope, or if it was chambered in 22 mag. other than than, its just a 22, with a plastic stock.

that should sell for 250 to 300 dollars

  • I just bought one last weekend and can't wait to fire it!! This is a great video. Thanks for posting it.

  • Your camera is dying :(

  • Jeezus, was the Terminator using his eye-cam to record this video? Apparently, he needs to shut off and boot his systems back up.

  • shoot that stupid mother fking bird!!

  • The guy working the cam needs to worry less about zooming, and more about holding the cam steady. Otherwise good review.

  • shakiest camera operator ever, gave me motion sickness

  • it's a .22! take out the fucking air plugs!

  • @zillsburyy its called proper procedure

  • stop the ZOOM!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!

  • whats the best .22 ammunion to buy for the gsg-5 or does it matter because i just bought ons and will be picking it up in new years eve

  • LOL I like the cam LOL

  • good MP5 style for little cost. how far can this shoot with and without the fake silencer

  • @keith92093 Fake suppressor covers a barrel. So you remove it, it will just have a stainless steal barrel underneath.

  • Krieg 552

  • Was that at about 50 yds? Also just curious what the optic was.

  • Lovely weapon, great video, good lines, excellent group for this weapon! Congrats!

  • Is Johnny 5 your camera man?

  • Any testing wiht better ammo? That remington stuff is the poorest and dirtiest performing ammo I have ever personnally used.

  • great vid! i bought one of these about a month ago. would you happen to know if there are any alternate iron sights for this rifle? im a little displeased with the sights that came with it. im more of an open sights guy and the drum sight seem really cheesy and the front post is extremely thick, making it hard to get pin-point precision. thanks!

  • my god this rifle is sexy i have always loved the mp-5 and a legal version for only 500$? FUCK YES!!

  • Made in China cameras are a bitch, right?

  • that is the loudest camera i have heard in a long time. Are these legal in CA?

  • @CaliforniaXlivin

I am not sure the GSG-5 is California legal. You might ask your local gun shop owner.

  • @SavageLE2B Yes they are Legal in CA. They are exempt because they are rimfire. Look on Calguns.net for for info.

  • No, those loud cameras are not allowed in Kalifornia. :P

  • @SavageLE2B its legal...i own one and am in claifornia..big-5 even sells them now.

  • The original fake 'suppressor' (barrel shroud) has been deemed illegal as of 1/2010 by the party store, AKA ATF.

ATI will replace the shroud at no charge as per their website.

  • The fake suppressor has been deemed in violation as of 1/2010 by the ATF.

ATI (the importer) will replace the shroud at no charge as per their website.

  • @SavageLE2B i think he was asking if the camera was legal in CA...

  • @SavageLE2B

    CA Legacy

    400$

  • @CaliforniaXlivin yes they are legal and they are available even at Big 5 stores.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin

Yes, it is California legal. A gun dealer near me sells them.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin

Yes, it is legal in California. I saw it for sale in the local gun dealer.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin if it is legal in PA. It has to be legal in CA

  • @CaliforniaXlivin There is a version that is sold with a ten round clip to make it CA legal.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin Yes. They have one at my local big 5.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin yes they are legal, the only requirement is that the magazine is limited to 10 rounds

  • @CaliforniaXlivin they are

  • @CaliforniaXlivin Yes Im sure the camera is legal in california.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin I think he was asking about the camera. The camera needs a suppressor.

  • @CaliforniaXlivin yes they are one of my friends just got one

  • so does the "suppressor" hide a longer barrel? orrr...

  • @zinger313

The "suppressor" is a fake metal tube that covers the barrel. It does not provide any sound suppression.

  • @zinger313 That's it. There is one that's been recalled because it's illegal. It does make it slightly quieter than the 10-22. At least from the shooter standpoint. I love mine. Bought it for my 16 year old daughter on the same day I bought a SEIGA 7.62 for myself. Well my daughter likes the 7.62 better so I traded her. She loves busting rocks up on cliff faces. I like drilling holes in holes.

  • how much did it cost?

  • @trophyhunter147

I believe the new ones are selling in the $400-$500 range.

  • @SavageLE2B i see one in a dunhams magizine for 380$

  • @SavageLE2B i found them on a site that linked me here for 189

  • that horrible shrieking noise is from the camera's zoom? what a terrible camera.

  • The GSG-5 is selling for about what now? I bought one last year just for the reason of hopefully making some money on it one day. I think i gave right at 500 bucks for it. They werent in production long at all. I guess we will see in about 10 yrs

  • That is some intense zooming!!! Nice weapon.

  • What a shame that the toy looking magazine kills the look of a otherwise nice MP5 clone. Even airsoft MP5's have replicated the magazine better. The only GSG flaw I have found yet; otherwise a realiable fun to shoot 22 sub gun.

  • i love when you zoom & it sounds like a robots walking lol. cool video, i just bought the gsg 522sd for 400 (22 rd mag)

  • u need a lisence for 22lr or to register it ?

  • @mrvancouver2020

Rules for firearm ownership vary by State and Country. Where I live all that is needed is to compete a standard 4473 form. Check with your local gun shop. They should be up to speed on the rules in your area.

  • lol, the noise the camera makes when zooming made me laugh every time.

  • MISS

  • The camera made me laugh hard....I dont know why. hahahahahaa

  • well heres why i asked i am deciding between a gsg and a 10/22 with the arch angel mod the ruger will be cheaper than this but this seems more fun... im on the fence about the two would u push me to one side

  • @MrLoveslittlekids Tough choice... Do you have the opportunity to shoot either one before you buy? The 10/22 will most likely be a bit more accurate if that matters but the GSG has the cool factor going for it.

  • this gun is not expensive but more than id like to spend for a .22 gun is it worth it in your opinion?

  • @MrLoveslittlekids I suppose value is determined by the owner. There are several alternatives to those wanting high capacity .22 caliber rifles; the MP-15 22 from Smith and Wesson, the Sig 522 from Sig Arms, the Ruger 10/22 and the GSG products.

From my perspective, you get a semi auto .22 for fun plinking. None of the above rifles have any other useful purpose i.e. self defense, hunting serious target shooting . I hate to be evasive but value is a very illusive word.

  • fake suppressor

    fake mp5

    fake automatic

    FUGAZY

  • I have owned one of these. The look the part if you want to be army boy but they are SHITE! It would not hit a barn door. It jammed all the time. The construction is monkey metal and I hear they break easy. I bought mine as new after about a thousand rounsyou could see a lot of wear. But I do agree 22lr is not to be laughed at any tit that says 22 is rubbish let me put a few rounds in him and see what he says.

  • @Semjasasslave You're kind of a punk aren't you. You have NEVER owned one of these, but since you have discovered you can jump on the internet and make any sort of comments you please you're just having fun pretending to be the expert. Be assured NOBODY takes your ridiculously worded comment seriously. It, and you are both seen for what you are...a goober trying to be noticed in the world.

  • we fired 4 hunderd rounds and still havent got it zeroed

  • @jhonwanegasey Clearly you have revealed your ineptitude at shooting.

  • @kilibreaux clear you havent watched the video the person in the video sayes we fired houndreds of rounds and still havent zeroed it

  • the smithsonian called they want their camera back

  • your cam sucks

  • @stevie1872001 You are correct. I do have good news on this front. I know have a Flip HD video camera. Crystal clear pictures and no zoom sounds. :-)

  • @stevie1872001 it sounds like a dying squirrel, cool gun though

  • For all customers who own a GSG 5 or GSG AK 47 or for future customers who are interested in the new GSG 522, the GSG 1911 or the new 110 round rotary magazine which will fit to the AK 47, then to the GSG 5 / 522: please have a look at our videoclip GSG 522 / AK 47 /GSG 1911.

  • Great vid!

Check out my video of me unloading my GSG-5 at the range!!!

  • how many times have you dropped that poor video camera?

  • you should consider getting a camera tripod for the majority of the review it was kinda twitchy. but i agree this is a great gun and its worth the money.

  • 5 stars for the robotic zoom sound effects. hahaha

  • I don't have one of the GSG-5 but I think I'd rather spend my money on a 10/22, put some bells and whistles on it and spend whats left over buying 5 thousand rounds of ammo and some good reliable magazines. With a good scope dialed in right you have a pretty good zombie killer to use until the threat requires something with more stopping power.

  • A member posted a video response to my GSG review which I have removed. I did this due to the display of unsafe gun handling and offensive language.

Firearms are not toys and should not be treated as such.

  • is the fake suppressor removable? is it an extension of the barrel?

  • Yes you can unscrew the fake suppressor. They are not making them as of Jan 1 due to lawsuit with HK.

  • that's a shame, looked like a fun rifle.

  • The company that was selling it was right down the street from me. Too bad they were forced to stop making them.

  • they are still around..the gun shop near my house is getting 5 of them next week.. i already paid for one.

  • You can unscrew the fake suppressor tube and it will expose the barrell. The fake suppressor is simply a hollow tube the covers the barrel. The rifle will look rather silly without the fake suppressor tube attached.

  • I've really been looking at this gun, 22LR is very underestimated, i wouldnt mind having this for a Home Defense weapon. At close range this gun would be devestating.

  • The stopping power of a .22lr is not good. You would be better off with a rifle that fires a pistol cal bullet like a .45 acp.

  • Ok, about the .22, you have to understand that "stopping power" is not the affect that a .22 has when it enters the human, body. a .22 is known to deflect off bones, and bounce all over the inside of a body, those causing extensive damage to organs and tissue. take 5.56 NATO for example, used in M4's M16's ect. All it is is a high power .22 made for going longer distances, with greater accuracy. i wouldn't feel outgunned having a .22 loaded in my house.

  • If you want to protect your home a .22 would not be a good choice. A fat slow pistol round would be best. You don't want a rifle round that can go through walls and miles and hit someone. I use a 9mm, .40 and .45. Works for me. .22 is a good varmint round out to 150 yards.

  • Dont worry i have my Para GI Expert 1911 for backup :)

  • great choice.

  • It really is, very affordable and reliable :) I would recommend it to anyone

  • yes..cant go wrong with a .45... that my weapon of choice for home defense..that and a shotgun.

  • Urban Knight is correct. "Stopping Power" is not the idea when thinking of a .22 caliber rifle. If you shoot your enemy in the head with a .22 it will absolutely kill him. Bounce around and scramble his brain. Sorry if i'm being too graphic. I have obviously never shot anyone and don't plan on it unless I have to. But the fact still remains that IF YOU CAN PLACE THE BULLET WHERE YOU WANT TO - you can do a lot of damage with a .22

  • plus as far as that rifle goes, you could just use it for tactical training. I'm sure that is somewhat - what the manufacturer was going for. That's how I would use it to train courses. So cheap to shoot.

  • @stlilc4, Thank you, I'm pretty sure the leading caliber for accidental shooting deaths in the United States is the .22 LR, because it's very underestimated, and people view it as a toy. I wouldn't want to be shot by one ;)

  • @UrbanKnight12 Same here. I've been told they ricochet inside of you and do much more damage than the higher calibers.

  • Why are you calling it a weapon? Are you using it as a weapon?

  • You are correct. Force of habit. My appologies.

  • Not a big deal that you call it a weapon... guns are weapons. People will comment on absolutely anything the can think of apparently. Good video buddy. I'm looking at getting a GSG-5 myself pretty soon

  • How much is it?

  • The GSG-5 runs around $450.00

  • what kind of scope you got on that gsg

  • The optic is a Trijicon Reflex NSN

  • I have the 1st anniversary edition, and sadly, Ive been having a lot of failure to feeds, and even had a round get stuck in the barrel. Its probably the ammo Im using though. I havent shot it much, so the next batch of ammo I will try something else to see. Unfortunatly, theres like 450 rounds left in the current batch XD

Dispite that, I am very please with its accuracy. Using the stock sights, its almost a point and shoot.

  • I have had excellent results with CCI Minimags. They are a bit more expensive but run flawlessly. You might want to give them a try.

  • @SavageLE2B $8 for 100 doesnt sound too bad. Thanks for the advice.

  • My pleasure. Please be sure to let me know how they work out for you.

  • @SavageLE2B Hey. Just wanted to let you know the CCI ammo has worked wonders for me. No jams or miss-fires yet. Thanks again.

  • Great to hear!

  • I have the first anniversary too, i got it today for christmas and mine is flawless

  • the makers of that gun just got a lawsuit this october & they cant make them anymore or import them cause I think there from germany & its A HK model MP5

  • nice makes my gsg 5 more of a treasure to me than it was before lol. do you know if prices for the remaining ones will go up?

  • No but im sure it will happen

  • weapon???? you fighting off a band of pissed off squirrels or something?

  • your camera blows lol, sounds like a robot.

  • Yes thank you, this has been covered many times. I hope you got something from the two reivews.

  • Nice vid. Just work on your steady cam ....gotta get me one of those rifles!!!! ; )

  • that camera zooming in and out sounds like somebody's asshole sucking buttermilk!

  • i honestly cant say i know what that would sound like, and i am concered as to how you do. O_o

  • fgfg

  • should i get this or a colt 22 cal ar-15

  • Hale,

It is really up to you. If you do a lot of AR15 shooting and want a similar platform to train with using inexpensive ammo then the Colt or S&S might be the better choice.

  • Savage, should i get an ar-15 lower and a spikes .22 complete upper or go for a gsg5 or a s&w 15-22? Thanks

  • bmwzr3,

How much are you looking to spend? Is this a fun rifle or are you looking for a tack driver? Do you currently own an AR15 style rifle or would you plan to a some point buy an AR upper for the AR lower?

  • Neat looking gun but the ruger charger beats in just about every way. About about $200 cheaper, much lighter, accepts any mags that fit in a 10/22,and unlike the gsg is still in production with parts being made for it.

  • The GSG-5 is not for everyone. There are other choices in the .22 caliber market place. I believe the law suit effecting production will be dismissed but we'll have to see. Ultimately, the value of the GSG-5 may increase if it's importation and manufacture are prohibitted. So in the final analysis, to each his own.

  • Ruger 10/22 sounds like a better deal to me too, especially with all the aftermarket accessories available for the 10/22

  • Does it have a quality trigger

  • It's an okay trigger. The GSG is not a tack driving rifle. It is just a fun nice looking .22 caliber rifle. The trigger is not designed for those wanting MOA accuracy.

  • thanks

my choices are the gsg or a s&w m&p15 22

  • It really depends on what you want to do with the rifle. If the M&P gives you the ability to upgrade the stock trigger and MOA shooting is your goal, perhaps the M&P may be a better choice.

If on the other hand you are looking for a fun, cool looking rifle to shoot then the GSG-5 is a good choice.

The opinions on the S&W 15-22 seem to be mixed.

  • how much? I want one. My dad says I can only get a .22 So if I have to get a .22 this would be the one.

  • A new GSG-5 can be had for a little under $500
