  • @flipp022

Do you know where can I get the lyrics? Thank you!

  • still a great song after all these years - bought the seven inch and still got it wedged in between the nappies and the wii somewhere

  • Heard this song hundreds of times, first time to see them sing, it's amazingly close to the studio quality.

  • hi im tom dave gouldings son i cant believe what a mop he had

  • I wanted them to play at my wedding but my bro refused to ask! She comes from the rain was my favourite....I did a cover version with my band (i'll post it if someone wants!) . Told people we wrote it and everyone loved it - we changed "I've got a friend she in my dreams" - "I've got a friend shes in my jeans" - some of the lyrics were well crytic and I've always wanted to know what he was one about....weasels and the like? also covered "joe schmo the eskimo" - not many people have done that!!!

  • Great jangly guitar sound from 1986. That means I must be old.

  • Peter looks so charming! :D

  • Kurcze czy ja śnię????Oni są!!!!!

  • Fantastic! The first group I ever saw live. Or was it Camper van Beethoven? I forget the running order.

  • best trousers ever

  • A truly fine band. One of the better from back then. I'm kind of happy you never really hit it big as only the coolest of kids knew of you. No doubt you would disagree!!!

  • Which school is he teaching at now?

Remind him to contact Dave Morgan with his details, and I hope you like him as your teacher.

  • @Aiyumi402 he taught me too. he's a quality teacher.

  • @Aiyumi402 Pete Astor and Dave Morgan (the whole band in fact) were absolute gentlemen whenever I met them

  • @Aiyumi402 mine too :)

  • I saw the weather prophets around the same time at Cheltenham Pittville Pump rooms, the Happy Mondays were the support band.

Never got to see the Weather Prophets again

  • Great footage. Where have the years gone.....

  • A classic!

  • Fuck me! Oisin[correct spelling] on Top Of The Pops!

  • nice. how about 'why does the rain' and

'can't keep my mind off you'.

  • Ah, memories... I remember humming that to myself on my way home after a promising first date :)

  • Hi There glad you like it but the singer is not Alan McGee but Pete Astor.

Alan run the record company Creation who we were on,and played in his own band Biff bang Pow but not The Weather Prophets.

I'll put up some more weather Prophets stuff asap.

    All the best.

    Dave

  • i've waited for more than 20 years searching for weather prophets' songs. i like WHY DOES THE RAIN better. alan mcgee's voice is great.
