  • No mention whatsoever of the fact that the workers are now PAID for their labor and no mention at all of segregation that was most definitely still be practised in 1950. "Separation of the groups or classes" was what the narrator says I believe. What a joke. These "instructional videos" from the 50's and 60's are hilarious by today's standards of course but also very scary in how they blantantly show what life was like during the time the videos were actually made.

  • He forgot to mention the segregation policy. It was a part of the southern culture at that time ( 1950)

  • ALL THAT SHOWS IS THAT BLACK IS THE REASON AND WE ARE THIS FUCKIN COUNTRY POWER TO THE MOTHAFUKIN PEOPLE

  • Southern society was separated into distinct groups. Talk about an understatement. This propaganda film was made 5 years before Emmett Till, so we know what the flip side of the so called southern hospitality can look like. It's not pretty to say the least.

  • @TheDiddlysquat my friend's dad grows tomatoes for Heinz. They get the FATTEST welfare check I have EVER heard of.... and somehow they own 2 tomato factories in PA.

  • Oh well i'm embarrassed for some ignoramus people in america I want to see their dependent dumb asses try slavery today....see what happens to u

  • @icisprincess09 It's already in full swing, but I guess it's easiest to critique a way of life 50 -100 years AFTER the fact.

  • @bintasyllah Well let me explain something to you. I am in no way in the dark about the way things are in this country. After all I do live here. And I'm guessing you must be one of those people for you to have even responded. Just for the record every society and culture and areas that are corrupt. But a man who choses slavery for the advancement of anything is not that talented, creative, or ultimately worthy himself. Its the easiest form of personal gain enslave someone. Doesnt require skill

  • @icisprincess09 Enslavement makes capitalism prosperous and thus is the backbone of the occidental business model. Marketing requires enormous creative acumen and inculcates the NEED for a service/product perhaps when there isn't one. Enslavement require great skill, but very little regard for man. Not all Africans knew of enslavement prior to the Trans-Atlantic passage, but blacks today do. Most black are reluctant to acknowledge any African lineage and seem to have easily forget history.

  • Cheap labor? Wtf he meant to say free labor!!!! Working at Walmart is cheap labor, being a slave is virtually free unless these devils are counting the scraps of food the overseers gave them. Fuck this country!

  • @theone1087 FUCK every country. You show me an honest, fair and just country and that country should have absolutely NO rich people.

  • to bgrosval....."Most slaves were treated like family" What bullshit! Slaves had their families broken up, sold off, people were routinely tortured both pysically and psychologically, denied education and health care, lived in fear much of the time, assumed a persona of subservance. BG - where did you study history...the south?

  • ok so let me get this straight the only thing that changed is no whipping and the "landlord" doesn't own the people. lol could have happened with out a war.

  • you all must remember that not all slave owners were cruel men. Most slaves were treated like family, the ate together, went to church together, etc. It was like that in my family and to this day, the same ancestors of the slaves still work on our tobacco farms here in Virginia. we have been family friends for generations. :)

  • Fuck Coronet Films!

  • Sorry producer4real, I meant to give u a thumbs up!

  • This film is funny...because it still happens today! Just softer names Masta=Landlord...Gentiles own everything and till their time is fufllled like scripture Luke 24Luk 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Yerushalayim shall be trampled underfoot by the gentiles until the times of the gentiles are filled. says we got to keep it moving YA!

  • This is a very good video to explain history.

  • Gentle manners. That is so funny!

  • Share Croppers....what a horrible deception to keep people in almost the same state as slaves. Many could NEVER afford to repay the cost of land and machinery along with make enough to eat and live. Oh the cost of the love of money...

  • I agree whole heartedly. Share Cropper was just another name for legal slave.

  • I would have loved rehabbing that old plantation mansion; sad to see beautiful architecture wasted. That well-cultivated land has probably been been sub-divided and paved over to make way for tacky tract housing and strip malls. Damn carpetbaggers!

  • Kimmi, people lost their freedom and their dignity on that land: did you know that black girls, some not much older than Malia Obama, would be "given" to a slave owner's son's so they could get sexual experience? The poor child often had no say in the matter and if she got pregnant her baby would get NOTHING from its father except possibly becoming his property.

  • The only reason to keep a plantation intact nowadays is to use it to teach our children an important lesson on human dignity: ALL MEN deserve freedom and denying a man his rights can scar a nation forever.

  • I think it was Benjamin Franklin who said "If we don't know our history, then we are doomed to repeat it". Ben Franklin was a very smart man or his time.

  • Ben Franklin was also virulently against slavery.

  • h_t_t_p_:_/_/_adlyn_morrison_(dot)_blogspot_(dot)_(com)_

  • I also like how the servant walks past when he says "division into different groups" or whatever.

  • "much of the work is still done by negroes!"

    WHAAAAAAT

  • @brontosaurusrex what's wrong with that statement?
