i'll tell you what, the mounting plate that it came on in the box actually ended up being really handy for putting it in places that would be too dangerous for someone to stand.

Try using the suction cup as a tripod mount...works really well for shots where you don't want to be too close to the camera, as you say. Can't wait to see your next video...great work!
