  • I am so sorry, i wrrite in english, and sux at it, my excuse is, that, i did not pay attention, when i was a kid, and had english lessons

  • This is the absolute perfomance of any artist, any time, i challenge anybody who think they can sing, too try do it better. they will all fail because it is a song,so difficault too sing,i believe thats why i have never heard a cover version of this song. I sang this song a day, and my ex girl friend said: its sounds so beatyifull, what is it.!? said, listen too N.K.C's version, find out what a beautifull voice really is,she really loved it. If i coul sing 1/00000000000 like him i would be glad

  • I like it because my girlfriends name is Monalisa

  • Aw the good old days

  • I think that is not just special for me or for you it is just something people cannot not to love <3

  • "Cole was a smoker of Kool menthol cigarettes, believing that smoking up to three packs a day gave his voice its rich sound (Cole would smoke several cigarettes in rapid succession before a recording). He died from lung cancer on February 15, 1965, at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California." He was 45 years old. :(

  • @roastbeef240 from wikipedia

  • @roastbeef240 I was 10 days old

  • This is the song my father used to always whistle, when I was a child. I now understand why.

  • One of the most beautiful voices EVER.

Compared to Mr King Cole the voices and songs today fade away.

  • wow

  • George W Bush was so dumb he thought this song was about an iltallian man teaching his wife how to fake it!!!

  • @dennyolver2 wtf? seriously? :D:D

  • Miss my dad he loved this x

  • @1905davidmorgan same here))) exactly

  • thinking about my love that will newer come true ;/

  • i think my bredrin may be lip syncing here, but to a brilliant song

  • Nat King Cole was a legend . Nat wasn't around that long on this planet , though it was long enough to become famous .

It wasn't easy for Nat King Cole being a victim of racism most his life , however Nat King Cole carved out a successful career for himself .

    Nat King Cole forever .

    : )

  • is it just me or he does look a bit like snoop dog on some angles.....????

  • @spartafxrs5

yea.. snoop dog is nat king cole in disguise actually. he wanted to cange genres in the early 90's becouse he was influenced by dr dre and the other dogs and he wasn't sure what people would say... but it turned out allright... he's doing fine he's a pimp now

  • @andreidinax oohh that explains the smoothness in snoop dogg's style =)))

  • fantastic and timeless....

  • Style, class, and nonpareil musicianship. What a class-act. Thanks for posting.

  • This is what music is about....class and harmony...

  • I sang the words to my only daughter who was a heart transplant at the baby age of 7 weeks and passed away at the age of 19 in november of 2010. except I would put in my own words that would just come to mind in singing to her. nat king cole wow.

  • Comment removed

  • @CollaborationSeries and your point is??

  • fantastic played this at my dad funeral and the whloe congregation sang along sureal but apt

  • I will always love Mr. Nat King Cole! :)

  • THIS SHIT IS SO DOPE, LOVE IT!

  • Just dance! It'll be OK

  • Nelson Riddle made the gargantuan sum of $52 for writing the arrangement for this song which is considered a signature piece for Nat Cole (Nelson also wrote the arrangement for 'Unforgettable' for which he also received scale-$3.99 a page).

When Nat learned who actually wrote those arrangements, he formed a professional relationship with the gifted arranger which helped both careers. Happy Birthday, Nelson :-) 6-1-21

  • you're absolutely right billy !

  • my father used to sing this song when I was a kid... then he always change the Mona Liza to Mona LITA as he lovingly dedicate the song to my mother.

  • Nat King Cole had a soft beautiful relaxed voice that most everyone loved! "Mona Lisa" is one of his signature songs, sung beautifully. Another is called "Unforgettable."

In truth, Nat himself is unforgettable!

His singing was unique, lovely and timeless!

God Bless You Nat. You are not forgotten!

  • thats smoothe swag there lol

  • oy! that demo is a spy!

  • Love his voice. So beautiful

  • I remember I sang this at a block party when I was six. Everyone was slightly shocked. I've always been a fan of this music and love it more then anything.

  • I like all his live songs much better than the heavily edited songs......

  • nat cole is king

  • most relaxing voice ive ever heard.

  • Holy shit..... I thought this was a TF2 video, he looks so much like the Blu spy in the thumbnail

  • He was one of my earliest music heros.... Such a great talent!

  • The lyrics of "Mona Lisa" are pretty inane ... but as sung by Cole, the results are marvelous. Much of opera libretti are at best forgettable - but when sung by Pavarotti, who cares? When Ella sings scat, it's incomprehensible - but so what? When Streisand, Sinatra and Torme ("Cement Mixer???) sing, they elevate lyrics and song to a new level.

Nat "King" Cole: one of the truly great performers who pass "the phone book test." - they could sing the phone book and it would be great.

  • wow., excellent ., NAT KING COLE.,! BRAVO!

  • how elegant he looks!

  • Happy 92nd birthday, Mr. Cole.

  • Long live the King!

  • happy birthday Nat 3/17

  • nat was a great dresser

  • I never imagine person who can perfume this song nearby nat king cole!!!!

    noone can do so!:) :*

  • I love you for sentimental reasons by Nat is the most beautiful song i have ever heard.

  • For the five years that I worked for my ex-boss, he constantly and consistently whistled this song off key and unfortunately, he ruined this beautiful song for me.

  • @billyandrson check out trevor wesley dot com! good music :)

  • @billyandrson check out trevor wesley dot com! good music :)

  • @billyandrson Muslims dont want to kill you. Its exactly the other way round.

  • @jlacroze Yeah, American suicide bombers are becoming too common today ;)

  • @billyandrson times change, people change.

  • @billyandrson lots of things wrong with this comment. Mostly that Only muslims wish to see your horrid country sink into the sea. Meanwhile, this is what you cause, A vague hatred in the face of beauty. STFU and listen to lovelyness.

  • Why was the video Unforgettable taken down?

  • classic

  • nat king cole....thx *(*-*)*

  • 42 people probably listen to crap and cheap electronic music.

  • Today, 41 years ago, my father gave my wonderful sister the name Monalisa. Happy Birthday Monalisa I am sure Daddy is up there dancing with Nat himself celebrating this wonderful day when God gave us a little Princess.

  • @ElCibaeno1966 you made me cry!

  • @ElCibaeno1966 Listening to this is the closest anyone will ever be to watching the picture painted.

  • what a beautifully controlled voice

  • his rythme is unbelievable it doesnt matter how any one trys they will never be as good as this man

  • Best male voice ever. Fact. Live with it. Smoking it seems does have its advantages...

  • Catch "That Sunday, that summer" too....unbelievably beautiful!!!

  • To all you Carolina Panthers fans (like myself): This was the #1 song in the USA when Dom Capers came into the world (August 7, 1950). I guess you could call him a pre-Rock Era baby, since the beginning of the Rock Era was less than 5 years away (Rock Around the Clock, Bill Haley and His Comets, July 1955).

  • @mkl62 Wow that was a bit random. I'm a Panthers fan and the odds of that being said and me looking up a song like this are just bizarre. But that is interesting knowledge and I miss Dom, I wish he had never been let go. George Siefert and John Fox have absolutely buried this team.

  • @GhostDistortion I don't put the entire blame on Fox. He didn't get any support from the higher-ups. The Panthers should have gotten something for Julius Peppers, IMO.

  • @mkl62 Oh I absolutely agree, plus Richardson does not spend any money during FA, but the problem with Fox is that he always bungles the draft.

  • @GhostDistortion Well, they could do what the Detroit Lions did 10 years ago: Hire Matt Millen to run things (ha-ha).

  • @mkl62 Let's hope not.

  • nat king cole is don,res in peace!

  • i love this song!

  • not my kind of music, doesn't mean I'll dislike it, i like it cuz he had the talent!

    may he RIP

  • There will never be a voice quite like that! It just soothes the soul. LOVE Nat King Cole! Thanks for sharing.

  • very beautiful artist

  • One of the finest singers of all time. And whoever thought to put him in this incredibly slick blue suit was a genius. The guy looks cooler than James Bond. Nat, you had the voice!

  • William do Brasil - Muito Bom, isso é musica de verdade.....

  • if he live in this era he will be a rapper

  • @akikazu87 then we would've lost another talented singer to that shit =)

  • He was so smooth!!

  • This was on at the drive-in movies before the film started the other night... really sets the mood.

  • one of the best black artists and his voice is amazing i have his album where he sings in spanish. One of the best albums of all time i can say.

  • @MyDreamside One of the best artists...period. It just happened he was a black man. His talent brought him universal acclaim.

  • What a lovely man! Gorgeous smile and 'twinkling' eyes... Dying so young shouldn't be allowed... Love his classy daughter Natalie.

  • his voice brings happiness .

  • now THIS is music <3

  • like the mood in this music, but just like now a days i think it sucks that every song has to be about love.

  • @MoiselSpecky Wasn't too secret if he was doing it for TV

  • why would someone dislike this??? they shouldn't even be watching this!

  • @stephenworldwide Your brand of music fascism is much worse than their taste in music, similar sentiments to the post above yours, everybody has the right to say what they think and to push whatever of your buttons they feel appropriate. Trying to make ground while discrediting others taste, is in very bad taste indeed.

  • @davidoffon music fascism??? lol! please, don't take comments so seriously, in a way i'm just asking why someone who would dislike this would even come here. just a rhetorical question, but i'm glad it moved you enough to retort! p.s., two people "liked" my comment. we are all fascists!!!

  • @stephenworldwide I'll take them what ever way they're written and constantly now, we see reference to those who'd dare to thumbs down, that's where the stupidity lies, in a total lacking of originality, I couldn't give a shit for any one who likes it, stop writing drivel and you wont be pulled on its dripping content. Every body comes here, so your question becomes more ridiculous the more you try defending it.

  • @davidoffon @davidoffon and what you write is not "drivel"? please! my comments are just the same as someone pressing the "unlike" button. it's called an opinion. so i criticize a "thumbs down" (jokingly) and then you criticize me. you're a hypocrite, plain and simple! maybe youtube will pay you for being their comment police.

  • @stephenworldwide I had to look up drivel in the Dick Sean Harry and I wouldn't dream of writing such. I corrected your propensity to try to force others, you now need to deflect from this by making it into some wonderful subtle joke, nobody knows it is a joke, so by poxy you become the jokes clothes an' everyone laffs achoo, that is good. An' if your "joke" must base itself around the sheep like tendency's of others, this demonstrates your level quite well and to finish with, all you need ..

  • @davidoffon will you and @stephenworldwide just get a room so the rest of us can just enjoy the sheer majesty of what is before us.

  • @rickydickydobee An; Phuck you two sweetr farts!!

  • belleza de tema..

  • I wonder if he was a member of that secret society the Illuminati - I think so only because he keeps making the secret hand signs - the triangle.

  • what a voice,if you want to relax, just fine in the not king cole.

  • I still play "Mona Lisa"for the first song of my gigs at the piano bar in switzerland then I remember his big smile & said SAM nice to meet you! After his last concert before he died september 1965 in Seoul Korea.

We went to a night club call UN CENTER after the concert & drink with his band(Quartet)He was a Gentle man & I get in to tears after this video!THANK YOU,

  • Too bad he smoked himself to death. What a talent!

  • @DougMcDave Yes...it was a waste to lose such a great to cancer. Many people smoke and not all die from it. There will never be a talent like Nat. My 24 year old daughter came to me to play something by Nat, wanting me to listen to him sing. I thought how music comes around again in life. Young people who can appreciate a talent like Nat King Cole, are way above the rest...it shows true quality.

  • hes da shit 4sho fuk all haters

  • That nat king coles a spah!

  • omg pants above the ass?!?

  • @randomted

Please, don't defile this class act music performance with such comments.

If modern hip-hop so-called artists wear their pants like they're not made to be worn

then go to their videos and be sarcastic about it.

Nat King Cole was a gentleman. Now you try being one and delete that comment.
