  • SOAD FTW!! (thts a lot of abbreviating..) where did you get that handle for the bar? cos im 6"5 n most of it is in my legs, so i find it hard doing deadlifts without the bar smashing into my knees :/

  • if its in ur own garage or house i'd advice to do it barefeet or with flat shoes, most deffointly not runing shoes

  • Hockey stick grip tape over the handles instead of rags...works MUCH better.

  • No offense dude but you did what 155lbs like 8-10 times for ONE set and when you finish you say "Whoo!" like that actually fatigued you??? You are obviously using wrong routine. Do this if you want MAJOR strength jumps:

2 X per week MAX. Hex bar deads. (set 1 60% of 1rm for 3-5 reps, 75% of 1rm for 3-5 reps) Work set: 100% 5 rep max 1x5. THAT'S IT! Leave at LEAST 2 days of rest between workouts. Add 5 lbs EVERY workout, then @ 5rep fail keep adding weight per workout anddo until new1RM n recycle

  • im 13 200lbs and i hold the world record championship of perfcet form lifter lifting 3x my bodyweight with 100% perfcet form

  • @13andincrediblycut Biggest bullshit i've ever seen is on your profile..

  • @CdDr12 No, it's all true stated facts. I would know that! XD

  • @13andincrediblycut Post a video then...

  • @CdDr12 I will very soon. Trust me! :P

  • fuck that rossinout22 dude, i would break his neck, im deadlifting over 400 right now, i just dont like the way it feels on my lower back

  • im about to get one of these, because i have a bad disc in my back, so regular deadlifts hurt my back, are these alot easier on your lower back?

  • @cjbears90 hahah to bad your a pussy and cant lift shit......korn fucking rulleezzzz ahhahahahah

  • perfect, i wanted to see how can use it beacuse i train at home i bought it on powertrapbar. com

  • perfect, i wanted to see how can use it because i train at home and i bought it on powertrapbar. com

  • good job mate love the system of a down to, i always lift hard to Disturbed lol

  • is that 20ibs on each side?

  • I wouldln't worry too much about getting technique perfect on a trap bar, it's a lot easier than the standard DL. Put some weight on and a lot of the form issues correct themselves.

Having said that the arch in your lower back seemed perhaps a little bit pronounced, i dunno tho

  • Get shoes without give in the bottem cushioning. Converse All-Stars or knockoffs are good.

  • your trap bar handles are higher than some others. if they are lower you can bent lower and get a deeper and longer movement.

  • I'm also too tall for regular deadlifts but can sumo without problems. Trap bar is still nicer because you don't have the rotation from mixed drip with a conventional bar.

  • You are bouncing when you lock out at the top which may or may not go away with a heavier weight and can hurt your knees. The lockout should be a controlled squeeze. Also lift either barefooted or in hard-soled shoes -- sneakers are too unstable. I built a pair of wooden boxes to compensate for the handles -- inverting the bar may put the handles too far down if you are tall.

  • i do love them bars

  • flip the sucker over and you've got a deeper DL.

  • are you showing us how cool is these type of bars, or you're showing the technique? Well, Not all Gyms has this type of bars....use the regular bar and tell us?

  • good work mate keep it up

try using alot more weight cuz ur technique is fine there and use a belt to support your back wihtout the trap bar but keep going :P

  • thanks mate will do

m trying the strong lifts routine and will go up gradually. I have heaps left but don't want to plateau out.

    thanks for the critique

  • Using a belt a) can make you lift more weight than you can safely handle (not good if you are not competing) and b) cheats you out of exercising your core muscles which then sets you up for injury because you end up with a weak low back and abs.

  • thanks

it was for demonstration purposes only as i have a bad knee and to tall to dead lift a straight bar.

  • haven't seen one of those in a while... cool deal j

  • I have never seen anything like that before. I am referring to the trap bar, of course. That was cool, love the music too. Keep it up.

  • thanks yep system of a down!

  • ooooh. good ol' system of a down. they do have some pretty good music for sure.
