I am sorry, but this research took a semester to put together...? I knew all this off the top of my head. Until I see what you guys come up with that is practical then I really don't back this at all. If you have a U-Lock and a cable lock, and are around 10,000 other bikes then you might as well fight the odds because you probably aren't going to get your bike stolen. Permanent bike construction? We'll see.
