I just got done working on The Pride of America for two months as a seasonal youth staff and now I see why I kept getting turned around the first two weeks.
It's huge!
Thanks for posting this. It was good times working there!
@bigd524 It seems like everyone's ALWAYS got to compare cruise ships smaller than the Oasis to it. I don't get it. thumbs up if you agree people ALWAYS do that...
Oh I remember the gingle that sounds everywhere in the boat when the captain speaks or the activities organizer speaking about what happens during the day and evening. Thanks!!! I was on the Gem for the transatlantic cruise on April 2008.
I love seeing the ship for the first time. It's like "Wow, looked smaller on the internet...". But that's my favorite part of a cruise, becoming aquanted with the ship. ^^ But yes, NCL rocks! I love their ships and I love how they run thing, you know? I'm a big supporter of NCL. And I'm glad to say that I'm taking a cruise on Norwegian Dawn this Feburary, but I would like to go on the Jewel soon. Great video. :)
That's because she was originaly going to be a 70,000 ton ship when American Classic owned her. When NCL baught the hull they cut it in half and added about 70' upping her displacement to around 90,000 tons. I still love her though, one of my favorite ships second only to the former Pride of Aloha (she was my first.)
guys it clearly says PRIDE OF AMERICA at 0:08

@bigd524 or pretty well any ship. Disney Dream,Magic, and Wonder, Carnival Dream, Oasis of the Seas, Norwegian Epic...
I could go on forever with ships bigger than that...

I agree she is an interesting ship, but her design is a bit eccentric.
