you can do solid colours, it requires changing the little Gems inside, or whatever they are, it might cost money or you can do it at your own risk of breaking it.

do you have to have a dmx controller to run these lights? i have a regular sound board, can i just plug it into the sound board and let it run on the sound effect? i am a musician looking at adding lights to my concerts. please help!!

Yes you can pretty much do anything with this light and most lights like this one. you dont have to run it off a dmx controller. you can let it run by itself or yes you can use a sound board. --DJ Vin

yes you can see them pretty well. i have it on my truss system so its over my speakers and you can see the beams on the dancefloor. with a little fog it looks great.  --DJ Vin

no it can't do solid colors but yes you can move it around with the dmx controller.
