  • It's dark in here, innit?

  • can you please send me the sheets? I can't find the original version on the internet. So maybe you can help me

here is my email adress: Dunharg@gmx.net

    Best regards from germany

    Christoph

  • Thank you for these great piano lessons. Could you please send me the sheets, too? bbboehm@aol.com. Thank you!

  • THANKS!!!

  • Can you send me the sheets to?

    felix.nitsche@hotmail.de

    Thanks

  • Great tutorial - with one correction, stay on the "D" bass note when you go to the "G" on the right hand...the chord should be G/D and not a straight G. Otherwise it's excellent. I still can't play it all the way through....LOL

  • Wtf it's done fucking wrong... you didn't even get the undertones right..wtf that second G with a G in the bass?

  • @jella11

No one forces you to make use of this. Personally I find this quite helpful.

  • Do you have the sheet music?

  • nice, really helped me with this song.

(Try not to fold your fingers back though with your left hand, i used to do that and now my doctor says it has caused me to have rehumatism.)

  • That sounded good but the beginning bit was way to fast for the intro of the song, it sounds much better slower

  • man this is amazing! but i would be really really grateful if you can upload the piano sheet to some server like megaupload. I really need that sheet!! please. Thanks!

  • Utterly fabulous! To think RW didn't even get paid or credited. This arrangement always brings a lump to my throat, and the superb way you have built it up in slow stages makes it so easy to play. I'm a guitarist rather than a pianist and I'd cracked it in two days. Many thanks!

  • gracias. por tu generosidad, se te agradece tu paciencia, muy bien hecho, sigu asi

  • Thank you man for sharing your experience! This shows everything that i wanted to know about this song! :)

Its a big big help for folks that cannot or are not used to read sheet music ;)

I really would like to see you teaching Goodbye Philadelphia by Peter Cincotti!!

    :D

  • Would you be willing to provide sheet music for this intro?

  • Thank you so much!

this is my dad's favorite song and he was so amazed when I played it for him.

    Thank you.

  • Wow what software are you using i really like that sound.

  • In what key is this piece? Is the tonic C? I can't figure out if the intro has modulations or what's happening in the intro.

  • The intro's is D. the first and second verses are in c and the last verse is in D.

  • C, The interludes are written with key changes in them making them even more amazing.

  • Gorgeous, :)

  • Make music,not war

  • Hey Thanks a lot this really helped me. It's the first song I decided to learn on the piano and this was easy for me to follow. I've been playing guitar for many years now and decided to buy a keyboard so I was pleasantly surprised when I found this video.

  • Actually sounds good in slow motion, wow.

  • thanks man! love the song, now i can play it!

  • Did you ever try... Uptown, uptempo woman... Randy Eldeman....

  • Oh, thank you VERY MUCH! I can learn it this way!

  • daaang!

  • Nice playing... would like to do this one. Have a look at my videos. John

  • Great stuff, thanks for posting - where is the piano riff at the beginning from (before morning has broken), is it a Norah Jones tune?

  • how does it suck?

  • Thankyou. You are very helpful. Do you know whether or not there are videos/dvd's available to learn from like this? If not, thankyou for your thoughtful instruction. Please do more.

  • Great thanks!Only problem is video quality isnt too great... makes it difficult to see some of the notes you play... but thanks

  • Rick Wakeman performed this slightly better ...

  • That proves it, Youtube has everything and is extremely awesome and helpful. Thanks SirEltonJohn

  • Is there any chance of you posting this again, but with speaking?

    Great work

  • I'm sorry to complain but its not too clear, lighting is a little dim and would be much more helpful if you verbalized what you're doing throughout the lesson. beautiful song and thanks for posting

  • What song is that in the intro to the video? The name is just evading me.

  • it by Norah Jones - An new day is over

  • That's it. Thanks! By the way, the lesson is great. I like the way that you built it up bit by bit. It's easy to follow.

  • @SirEltonJohn It's actully called "The Long Day is Over"

  • Great tutorial - with one correction, stay on the "D" bass note when you go to the "G" on the right hand...the chord should be G/D and not a straight G. Otherwise it's excellent. I still can't play it all the way through....LOL

  • I can do it!!!!

  • Thanx for that! love that song..:D

  • I'm at the last part now

    the ending.

when i know how to play the whole song, im going to work on my speed, because im still really slow on the last part.

  • very nice, i am trying to play it on the piano, but i cant do it very good yet, some parts are really hard :P

  • Absolutely Beautiful!! I love your Lessons!! Superb!

  • Excellent.. I love your tutorials.. there's no talking but you slow things down part by part, and it's just as effective.

  • Good job :D Thx for sharing
