This is wonderful! Meriwether Lewis is my favrite guy from history. He wasn't bad looking either. This is perphaps the greatest Lewis and Clark video ever! I'm waiting for a sequel.

Over the years, there have been several documentary and film portrayals of Lewis and Clark. So while this vid does not have moving images of the actual Lewis and Clark; the clips of people portraying them is close enough to represent them.

It depends on which part of the trip you are referring. Between 40 and 42 men went upriver with Lewis and Clark while the the permanent party included 2 captains, 3 sergeants, 23 privates, and 5 civilians.
