  • Jeff City has one place to eat and a population of like 50. Dave, good work on your rides and videos. I just finished my second ride across the USA this summer. If anyone is considering it, I did it at age 62.

  • @viall4diabetes nice to hear from you John, for those who don't know, I met John in the Florida Keys (around Marathon I think) Thank you very much for checking in and CONGRATS on your cross country ride!!!

  • Really enjoyed watching this vid. The scenery towards the end of the video is absolutely beautiful ! It certainly looks like your riding through a National Geographic Magazine! hehehe...

Thanks for taking the time, energy and effort in making these cool videos.

  • @distantcyclist i'll second that.

  • Great videos! Thanks for the friend request.

ATTENTION YouTube viewers: I went on a bike tour last year and I'm making videos similar to his. I have no idea if they are any good. They take me a long time to edit and I'm losing my motivation to do it. Could some of you who like this video please go checkout my 2 videos and tell me what you think (click on my screen name to see my page). I just want some honest feedback from people I don't know. Thanks!!

  • @abikerideoutwest I think you did a outstanding job with your videos. I'm sure you had a great time in the park, because it's such a beautiful place and I know how much time it takes to make bicycle touring videos. I now have 105 videos and each one of them took 3-5 hours to make, edit and upload. So that's 300-500 hours!!!! There is a reason why there are very few people who post bicycle touring videos

  • @ThreeWheelJourney Thanks! They take me even longer to make. I spent around 10 hours editing each of the 2 videos I uploaded.

  • @abikerideoutwest yes it's a large commitment. Editing video on the road and posting in real time is a challange... I set the bar high for people on a bike and a camera

  • @ThreeWheelJourney I rode the transam in 2007 and kept a live journal (updated every few days) until it was too much for me to handle. I uploaded the rest after the trip was over. I appreciate all the work that goes into your videos...I can't imagine doing all that video editing on the road. It took enough extra time just to acquire all the video I did during the trip that I'm posting about right now.

  • @Ryan7799 Hi Ryan... it's alot of work, but it's a good excuse to take 3 straight days off. Feel free to post your videos as a response to any of my videos... perhaps more people will see them

  • @ThreeWheelJourney I was signed into my other name when I posted that last comment. Thanks!!! I'll post them to some of your videos...I don't wanna over do it.

  • @abikerideoutwest nah, feel free to overdo it... post them all as responses. My goal is to create a community of bicycle tourers on youtube. The people who watch my videos will watch yours

  • @ThreeWheelJourney It looks like youtube will only let me use each video as a response to one other video.

  • @abikerideoutwest hmmm, there's only one thing to do.... make MORE!

  • @abikerideoutwest post your videos as VIDEO RESPONSES to this video.... it will be accepted

  • @abikerideoutwest oh.... and when I get home I plan to make a "How to make a bicycle documentary" and also... how to promote your channel

  • @ThreeWheelJourney Thanks, I look forward to viewing it. When will you get home?

  • @abikerideoutwest I'm 600 to 700 miles away, so about 10 days I suppose

  • What a great place to be! You have it made man.

  • I love your videos! I enjoy all the scenery and people you interview.

BTW, I think Dubois is pronounced "Doo-bwah."

  • @Bethintx1 "Dew Boys" is how they pronounce it locally

  • @ThreeWheelJourney Good to know!

  • its going to suck going back to work

  • @FUNisUnderRated I'm going to throw and application at REI when I return... that wouldn't suck so bad... but yeah... I'm having alot of fun

  • So awesome! This is the best journey ever... :)

  • @baddogonline I hate to be so close to the ending point. I've have a wonderful time

  • Noticed your wearing some DeWALT glasses, just curious to know if it's because you like them or if it's for a safety reason, such as rocks shot up by cars.

    Just wondering,

    Andrew.

    Safe travels !

  • @Shartasticly GOOD EYE! I wear Dewalt Safety Glasses because they are very durable, solidly constructed, scratch resistant, and designed to take impact. Plus they are $10 at any Lowes or Home Depot. Solid, dependable eye protection....thanks Andrew! I've been meaning to mention them

  • glad to be able to watch your videos again, Dave. great journey!

  • @turisjawa thank you very much

  • THAT WAS A MIRACLE MY GOD HOW ELLS WOULD YOU HAVE KEPT YOUR BEER COLD SOMEONE CALL THE POP

  • @tomyhill123 hahaha lol I'm sitting outside a McDonalds and I busted out laughing at your comment

  • What a rest day Dave. Smooth roads, nice shoulder and the views!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Mainsworth1730 I know... I spent 6 days in GTNP I could have spent 60 days. The bicycle path (which is 8 miles long from Jenny Lake to Dornan's) is currently being extended to the town of Jackson over for a total of over 30 miles!!!!!! It should be completed next year!

  • Simply Beautiful!..:)..

  • @Douger4u777 I didn't want to leave

  • excellent journey, keep up the good work, love the videos

  • @shaneoc82 thanks for following!

  • Just got your message, and a few minutes later, I see this new video! Dan's music works awesome with the images as well. Wish I was out there riding, and worrying about nothing more than how to handle those big beers. Do bears like beer? Maybe my worries are misplaced...

  • @campy9sp I bet bear like beer. I kept the beer in the bear box, and only had one can out at a time... and I kept the emptys in the box too

  • @ThreeWheelJourney Dave! I know that bulls like beer (spent some time with Herefords years ago in Oregon), just found a few articles that confirm bears do indeed like "barley soda". As they have very sensitive smell, good call on boxing up the empties! Thought I'd pass this on to cycling campers, as tents aren't much of an obstacle to a grizzly.

  • Amazing Video... Probably my favorite so far. Love the scenery. Stay safe and keep em coming...

  • @fraziersutube Grand Teton is a beautiful place. Make plans to ride there

  • Im so glad you took some time out (a holiday from your holiday) I just told my wife that you were 6 miles out side some where heading to some where else, we can't stop laughing glad to see you had a little company on this leg the mad race team seemed prity cool good luck with the big climb ill pray for a tail wind all the way up Blessings Michael S

  • @armouredcockroach thanks Michael, it's nice to have the chance to find a place and take a little time off

  • @josemariasellanes JOSE! I just checked out your channel.... YOU sir are amazing! I love your work
