@stealx97 you need to block the water in the same way you did during the quest. Check a quest guide as to how to do so as I don't remember and can't really be bothered checking.

@Gllumby Is this a serious question or are you just dumb? Your BEST possible max with rapier in the BEST circumstances will only be in the 600s, where as fire surge hits fucking CRAZY high, past the 700s.

@Hunt2KillYa I would use melee in this case as your magic is low and you'll only be able to use fire wave. Make sure you bring some food as they can use magic as well as melee though.

@blink182roccks According to rs wiki, 373 is max hit with fire wave without bonus damage whilst fire surge is 522 with the same setup. So the max hit with fire wave would be about 800 or so.

@bigmanryan21 Only duradel and kuradal can assign them, and they are pretty rare. You can only kill them on a slayer task.

@1k1ll3rp0ll0 Only use this technique with Fire Surge. Melee is still very fast with good gear, and you should expect to hit around 800 max with chaotic longsword.

that staff of light mage bonus loses to the magic wand, is it still worth it just becuase it saves some runes occasionally? and how often does it save runes?

@Myrmidon717 The staff of light has 3 less magic attack bonus than the master wand but it has 5% more magic damage, which is of far better worth. The only weapon better than the staff of light (at the moment) is the chaotic staff, but this degrades over time and has +1 magic attack and +5% magic damage (compared to the staff of light).

@08agent08 It's up to you. Ring of wealth will give you more loot generally but you'll kill slower, not by much though.

@Zarrogas You can only hit higher with the chaotic staff at the moment. This is the max hit with staff of light. I've only hit it once with extreme magic and like 10 times with overload. Feels good when you do, though.

@Dijixx Staff of Light is rarer, slightly. Standing next to any wall or column will cause them not to use the special attack.

@icerink5amRS Yes, the max hit part was a seperate trip in which I used Overloads and managed to end up with 2 staves of light actually =)
