My pitbull was killed by two officers on the 5th of october. They said that my dog was attacking my mom. My mom says other wise. My dog attacked a lil dog that came in the yard. My mom tried to help the lil dogg but couldnt. My dog was doing his job as a dog and protecting wat was his. Two cops unloaded 14 40.caliber rounds into my 7yr old pitbull while my mom was only laying 2 feet away from the dogs after they yelled at my mom to stay down. I don't see how, even if the cops WERE being lazy, this is a big deal.
Obviously no one (including me) likes seeing a little puppy being killed but like take a step back and think about it before you talk negatively about the cops. Even if they weren't "lazy" and took the dog in, they would risk injury to themselves when the dog was going to continue acting the way it was, and would potentially be a future danger.
Innocent cute creatures are killed every day for food...and they aren't "vicious".

It's not completely the cops fault. If the owner would have complied with city ordinances and had it muzzled it would have never came to this. Blame the owner as much as the cop. If this dog snapped at any children at all I applaud the officers decision. If the cops were unsure, they could have called people better suited to deal with dogs.
