I agree with the homeless ordinance, but I don't agree how Father Nathan was treated. He was never rude and he should be thanked for caring enough about his community to attend. I mean they don't have to agree, but he should be heard.

A potential civil rights lawsuit regarding 1st Amendment should certainly be brought by the citizens of Pensacola.
In addition, was Fr. Monk's 4th Amendment rights violated also? The intimidatingly close proximity of the police officers made me nervous just watching, I cannot imagine what was going through Fr. Nathan's mind while he was repeating "I am an American". I felt that he was being brave and courageous even though he may have been fearful of being physically assaulted in some way
