These protests should have started in 2009 when billions were handed over by the government to the banker criminals that caused the housing collapse. The banks crashed the housing market through the Federal Reserve systematically raising interest rates and at the same time betting the housing market would crash by buying credit default swaps.

Ok first of all, what the fuck do they mean unlawful? It states right in the constitution in the first amendment that we have the right to assemble. no state law can override that. Upon further review I'm not sure now if it was tear gas. I just have never seen a flash bang give off so much smoke. Typically riot squads enter a room after throwing a flash bang, but they would not be able to do so if the whole room was engulfed in smoke. I retract my statement, but still think that if you see cops in riot gear you are in an unsafe situation. If you notice, the canister was thrown from several feet behind the cop line, and was not able to see the women on the ground.

There were reports of rapes and other sexual abuse incidences reported in the area which they were occupying in Oakland not to mention shortly before this, these same protesters were flinging rocks and other objects at police. Actually I never called them rapists. I said that the actions leading up to the riot police taking action was not warranted and unreasonable. The result was the riot police taking a stand. There is nothing wrong if the riots are going out of hand, which they were according to independant news sources.

Upon further review I'm not sure now if it was tear gas. I just have never seen a flash bang give off so much smoke. Typically riot squads enter a room after throwing a flash bang, but they would not be able to do so if the whole room was engulfed in smoke. I retract my statement, but still think that if you see cops in riot gear you are in an unsafe situation. If you notice, the canister was thrown from several feet behind the cop line, and was not able to see the women on the ground.

Not acceptable. Please, PLEASE do not keep quiet!!!! Contact the ACLU and file some sort of action or lawsuit against the Police for that incident. The whole group should. This is NOT acceptable behaviour from those who are supposed to guard everybody's safety.

This is exactly what the government wants...provoke..so they can install Martial Law. It is just a matter of time and history will repeat it self. Glenn Greenwald had an excellent interview on his new book today on NPR. It is called "With Liberty and Justice for some' the Two Tier Justice system where the elite gets off the hook and the regular citizen is jailed for excercising their First Amendment right! Please people...don't fall for the trap. We are being set up!
