I suggest you investigate the case of British student Richard O'dwyer who is due to be extradited to the US and put on trial for creating a website which hosted links to other websites that offered copyrighted material. There is strong public opposition here in Britain and a feeling that the extradition treaty agreement between the uk and us is completely illegitimate.
