I wonder exactly how all that makeup was done, it looks very good and complex. Clearly that's where a good deal of the money went, not for a writer....
I think Andy Kaufman could've made it in movies. May sound strange, but whenever I see "Ghostbusters" or "What About Bob?" I can't help but think Andy would've been great in Bill Murray's roles in both of those movies.
Granted Murray would've been out of a job two times, but... heheeeeeee....
Andy would've been great as Venkman or Bob. Watch those movies and really try to envision it. It's true!
While the score *does* use a lot of electronic textures, there are plenty of GORGEOUS orchestral sections in Williams' classic 80's "Blockbuster" style. Varese Sarabande is finally running out of their limited CD release (250 copies and dwindling), so Williams fans should grab it posthaste.
It's on right now on Cinemax West. And it beats watching the Pirates of the Caribbean marathon. And because this movie bombed at the box office Kaufman never got to make his Tony Clifton movie.
oh my goodness, this came on cinemax last saturday morning and i only saw half of it. then the next morning in the supermarket i saw the dvd for $9.99 & snatched off the shelf! this is the type of movie thats so bad its on the borderline of good
I SO agree with you, thatwassotomorrow! My friend and I watched it for laughs and it was SO funny....i can't beleive that Bernadette, who is such an AMAZING actress and singer would pick a movie like that!! lol
I saw this in the theatre. I guess I was 10. I thought the Crimebuster was the coolest thing...but my dad and sisters were ready to kill me for wasting an afternoon. I'd imagine my dad was a little upset at paying for four tickets to a movie only kid enjoyed.
Not too long after seeing this on here I added it to my Blockbuster Q (unless I had already switched to Netflix) and I could see why my Dad was so upset, but I still thought Crimebuster was cool.
anyone notice Randy Quaid and Christopher Guest in the credits at the bottom of the poster at hte very end of the clip. Bet they don't put this on a resume'.
Kauffman was always something of an comedy oddity. And this just proves it. Looks awful. Funny that he hated doing 'Taxi' but would choose to do crap like this.
i got this movie on vhs...i took a trip with my aunt to one of those bizzarr's that contain rare and priceless items...anyways, that movie was only a dollar and it's still in perfect condition.
OMG!!! THIS LOOKS LIKE A MOVIE I NEED TO SEE RIGHT NOW!!! WHERE DO I FIND IT!?!?!

We ran this movie at our small town theater years ago. I loved it. That's when I found out I was not like the average person!

My mom, uncle and Grandparents felt the same way when they sat through "Labyrinth" for me. ;-)

I remember this film.I thought it was alright---unfortunately,good special effects cost money, and this was just too weird for mass acceptance.
