  • The Pennywise's album Reason to Believe which includes the song Confusion was released on March 25 2008 whereas Offsprings'Splinter which includes Race Against Myself was released on December 9 2003. So if someone copied someone here then PENNYWISE COPIED THE OFFSPRING.

But I don't think that is really the case because only the starting riffs are similar. Punk music is pretty simple and many songs look alike.

  • @vassilisthebest The beginning here sounds more like Rise Against's "Reception Fades" from their album The Unraveling from 2001. So if someone copied someone, Pennywise AND Offspring copied Rise Against. I just listened to Offspring's "Race Against Myself". It's not that similar, really.

  • Fuck, Race Against Myself is one of m favorite Offspring songs. I've listened to it about 5,000,500 times probably (not to sound like a tool...) and this is NOTHING LIKE RACE AGAINST MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is not stolen moron..but morons would take to say that because simply..well they are clueless..have a nice day!

  • Hey, isn't this song younger than Race Against Myself? Race is on Splinter which was released in 2003 and Reason to Believe is from 2008... I'm not sure when Confusion was written exactly, but it seems it's younger than Race Against Myself...

  • the punk scene is full of elitist assholes. Fuck the scene, long live the music!

  • offspring are some sell out bitches, pennywise lives forever

  • @Boondocksaint1983 that's not true

  • Fuck YOU!

  • FUCK YOU!

  • fuck offspring

  • this is totally race aginst my self -the offspring!what a stealing!

  • @panos1911 ONE im a big offspring fan, TWO this was written before Rage against myself and even though it sounds similar, so do many songs, its not a copy

  • @chingmafia Well said. I've written heaps of guitar riffs that sound like other songs, and I've never heard the songs before. It's ALL been done. It's about making what you do your own.
