All I'm saying is that's the biggest call in KU history and our color guy screamed OHHHHHHH over Bob Davis' THREEEEEE. Then Piper went into an uninspired analysis of the play and a rhetorical "how bout that?" I'm just not the biggest Piper fan. I think he's boring as hell. Can you imagine how much better it would have been if Max was on color? Anyways who cares Thomas Robinson is going to be a beast this year Rock Chalk!!!!

Max is a legend indeed. But the play-by-play man is always numero uno. And I think Piper is fine, not better than Max but then again not any worse. Part of the mystique of this whole night was that on the 20 year anniversary of when Chris Piper won his own national championship he was sitting there calling the Jayhawks. Nothing wrong with what he did. For me having 2 guys reacting to greatness is better than just one. But really, you could switch color guys and I probably wouldn't know the diff.

haha yeah. Everyone has a different opinion. My friend absolutely hates Bob Davis. Thinks he's a whiner. I think he's great. If the Royals would ever just be decent, everyone would get to see that he's a damn fine baseball play by play guy too. We always get to see that with KU basketball bc they're always in big games with a lot on the line. I like Gus Johnson too. His call on Steph Curry's shot in the regional was GREAT.

That's okay. Curry "SHOULD" have shot it. I still wonder why they had him take the ball up the court in that game instead of him just hanging around the 3 point line. I was at work listening to this on the radio, i live in kansas and am a huge fan. I listened to the entire carolina game and was so ecstatic when we built our huge lead and pissed when they started coming back. Piper's reaction is amazing because if you were listening to the broadcast for a second or two you dont know if he made it. I was sitting their with my jaw opening thinking he missed and then i hear davis screaming he made it. I couldnt breathe

Bob Davis is a great, I repeat, a great announcer (if you are a KU fan). I miss listening to him. I also miss Max. If I would have been back in Kansas, I would have had the radio on with the TV announcers muted.

Bob Davis is one of the best broadcasters I hear on the radio. I wasn't able to listen much during the tournament because those outside Kansas got shut out of the radio internet-wise (they wouldn't stream online off the site , at least). But before the tournament I had listen to many games online...Thank you very much for putting up the radio call from the KU network!
