Obama knows there's 50 states, he said many times, over and over, so having the number 50 in mind , is easily to say 7 right after it when you have the number 50 in your head. The video wasn't faked, and he said it not because he was tired, but because he actually thought there were 60 states (i.e., he said that he wasn't able to go to Alaska and Hawaii, so he's been to 57 and has one more to go that is on his itinerary).

Though I disagree that the video is fake, I do believe that Obama simply misspoke; that he meant to say 47 instead of 57. He should have corrected himself, but still... why does everyone have to make it such a big deal that he made a mistake? Now I'm not saying I support Obama - I just think it's really sad that some people have to make such a huge deal about one mistake that someone made to try to discourage people from voting for him.

I just needed two responses, for myself... and I'm not doing this for school. Believe it or not some people choose their majors because they actually are interested, and so many of their daily actions that are related to their major aren't ASSIGNMENTS and homework. I wanted to get two responses and then say what this was about and start discussing why and how with the people while they're aware.

Reflecting and hearing people's opinions is what I'm interested in. I started this thing with a video just so we can TALK about it. I confirmed just a few comments later that I'm not a Barack Obama supporter, I claimed to be one in order to attract the other side of this and so we can try to analyze this video.

Too bad Obama had to spoil that notion by confirming he said "57 State" to a Reporter later on in the day. And yes it is very common for YouTube videos to be a little out of synch. Especially if they were shot on a cell phone or some other lower resolution camera.
