  • ROFLOL @ 4:10!!

I would easily give up a testicle to go back in time to be at this show. Maybe even two...;)

  • boogie woogie everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • plant was so into it then

  • who got all the way to the part 2 and then checked dislike?

  • Lots of Janis influence on Plant...

I love these guys. Lucky enough to catch them at MSG in '75

  • Holy Toledo, that was a great medley!

  • this was 1970. sabbath would debut later that year, and led zeppelin will always be a rock band, but metal was born on this night, at the conclusion of this song.

  • my favorite bit is plant's little quip at 8:47. "I couldnt make it that time"; his range is incredible and on the album track that spueal is longer with a wider range but live it was undoubtedly murder on the voice to just do what he did.so he makes a hilarious joke about it.i lolled :)

  • Zeppelin Rockabilly is awesome.

  • Zep could improvise on a dime!!!!! MASTERS!!!!!!

  • this was so good on the night I was waiting for him to sing robert anthony wants to come and play. its a shame they cant show the whole show which ran from 7 . 50 to 10 . 50.

  • John Paul Jones IS the greatest bass player of all time.

  • damned these guys are sooo unbelievable goooooooooood!!!! Led Zep rules !!!!!

  • Seminal insights from Mr Plant ! Awesome, otherworldly band. This is what you get for making deals with Satan.

  • i like how high robert plant goes at 8:45, its awesome

  • Watch Bonham's hand on the hi hat at 3:44 -- I'm telling you, this guy was a jazz drummer but he must have gotten hit in the head with a brick or something.

  • @owlcu

I remember reading somewhere that Bonzo was some kinda construction type worker guy before the band really got together.

  • @dothedewupurs funny thing is I'm pretty sure he was a brick layer.

  • @cnewman99

    THATS IT!!!!

  • what a treat that was ! both parts ! omg. From blues to heavy metal to rock-a-billy to avante garde to acid rock to . . . . holy holy holy - hammer of the gods. what a band ! when will that be out on dvd ? "how the west was won" needs a good follow-up dvd. With material from 77 and this concert. love it , love it LOVE IT ! Mr. Page : ur the greatest living guitarist on earth - all due respect Mr. Clapton and Mr. Van Halen . . . and Mr. . . . .well there are so many wonderful players .

  • I think Plant is literally on shrooms LOL

  • I bet this four lads at that time got laid that night

  • Baby Baby thats my name !

  • everybody sss sss sss ssss

  • wow.. page was incredible in this whole song just his note selection was sooooooooooo perfect haha

  • haha, guitar can talk, best

  • B-B-B-B-B-B-B-Boogie Chillen!

  • HAHAHAHHA!!! page is dancing at 6:55 !!!!!

  • jajajajaja its is very pshycodelic

  • it sounds like plant said "i couldn't make it that time" at 8:49 maybe i'm just tripping.

  • your not tripping.

  • @crippledmidgets your not triping. he couldnt make the high note and hold it that time

  • i like how jimmy's playing went from like sorta southern/blusey to uber distorted from 2:16 to 2:37

  • probally using a fuzz

  • Comment removed

  • Right you are my friend!

  • @taygoo13 no, he just turned his marshalls up to 11....

  • @metallijames marshalls dont sound like this

  • Yes, unless I'm misinformed he used HiWatts here

  • if im not mistaken, he switched neck pickup which was at really low volume to the bridge which was probably maxed out letting all the distortion out

  • Actually the bridge pickup was muted and the neck pickup was at max...

You see him puck the strings the flicks his pickup.

  • Just Boogie as the Canned Heat!

    Awesome(y)

  • thats what my mama said!

  • 01:14 plant is sooooo high!!!

  • when was he not high? lol

  • Their showman is to be marveled. How the whole band can make such fantastic music is a mystery. Easily the greatest band to have ever been. Pity they are gone. Love 2:15

    Led Zeppelin forever!!!

  • Squeze my lemon till the juice runs down my leg

  • "The Lemon Song" is one of my favorite songs... but I like "How Many More Times" Better!!!

  • Best band ever!YESSSSS! Awesome!!!!!!!

  • This is the best live recording of anything ever.

  • 5:32 Jimmy page walks into the screen at just the right moment.

  • zeppelin is the only band that can take a 8 minute song make it 20 minutes and let it still be amazing

  • fucking right! could'nt have said it any better my self

  • 20 minutes and it becomes EVEN BETTER

  • holy shit, everyone is hanging by Plant's every word/sound... the crowd just went silent.

  • God that 20 minute song, they do even stop -right into moby dick !!

    Bonhams a freakin mule!

  • That camera flash at 5:30 was right on cue with robert's clap. Lol

  • Led Zeppelin's How Many More Times. Its just an epic tale. Look how good they are, cant you tell? The four of them are so amazing its quite possible to be the best concert performance ever. But lets not forget about other great bands and guitarists. Jimi Hendrix@Woodstock and countless others.

  • no matter "how many more times"..its still feels so dame new....we know to expect from Robert Plant....but what gets me...is watching Jimmy page and the crazy foot work when he dances and just kicks it a bit....that boy has got some rythum in them there legs...lol

  • hey dothed...did u upload this vid on dts sound mode? the audio is extremely good!

  • i cant remember haha

  • Puta! quee buen video, que role la motaaaaaa!!!!!

  • And that is how we love Robert! Nutty... This video gives me goosebumps every time...

  • The look on Robert's face at 8:04! He was like, Where Am I?

  • kinda weird seein' page w/ that schoolish type sweater, i don't know if i like it or not.

he is doin the school antics before Angus!!

  • i think he looks badass as usual.

  • He wore that in a lot of concerts, and he wore other ones out and around, but it's a button-up vest, not a sweater : )

  • what is that Robert is wearing around his neck? Is it a Madelon?

  • Yeah. Probably just a Necklace kinda thing. It might have been Celtic though, he was into that kinda stuff.

  • this is the best song off the first album

theres lots of power coming from the drums and bass

and plants vocals just tops it all of with a sprinkle of jimmy pages guitar magic

theres not alot of jimmy page guitar on the album version but it still kicks ass

LED ZEPPELIN FUCKING RULES THE EARTH YOU WALK ON AND THE AIR YOU BREATH!!!!

    word to your mother!!! hahaha

  • do u like pink floyd too?

  • I love them!!!

there my #2 band in my top ten list

  • fuck yeah

  • boogie chillen

  • no one can play like led zppelin

    fuckin high level

is no better players like leds

who nows somethin about music then they knows

respect for led zeppelin and 70's

  • which is the name of that blues (boogie something) that they always made in concerts.

  • boogie mama or something

  • Boogie Chillun!!

  • love that part

  • After all these times of watching this i just now realized.

    I live in glasgow.

  • 6:00

  • I live in glasgow.

  • haha pwned.

  • these days its so uncool to give it all youve got in a band you need to have attitude above all else but not led zep they poured blood sweat and tears into thier concerts they were soooooooooo tight

  • I would give anything for the chance to attend this concert.

Fuck, we need to build a time machine.

  • look at JPJ go!

  • I am not asking this to be funny or anything, but can someone tell me the difference between just getting into the music and being seriously high on something? I don't really know about that side of things. I only ask because Robert seems a bit nutty in this clip.

Other than that, this is pure genious. This band was just awesome.

  • who knows, probably both are involved

  • 8:44-8:48

gives me chills every single time!

  • I wonder how much of this is improvised on the spot and how much they rehearsed. Completely freaking amazing performance too. Royal Albert Hall has seen some of the best musicians that ever walked the Earth.

  • just oO

  • LoOoOoOoOoVE this vid! Thank you for sharing! :D :D :D

  • Glasgow NEEDS it

  • I wouldn't mind a V8 Ford, especially if it had bottom end go and I was shifting gears on the running board. :-)

    Mr Munky

  • WOW!they're masters of improvisation, really,I've never seen such a band before and such a performance before,THIS IS LEGENDARY!this cut my breath.SUCH MUSIC WILL REMAIN ALIVE FOREVER.

  • Wow, Pagey did pickup toggle thing 30 years before Buckethead.

  • It is a sexual reference

"Squeeze my lemon til the juice runs down my leg".

If you do not get it, well you may need to be older...

  • I understand, I just thought it was funny.

  • Well you never know, this is youtube and not everyone on youtube is exactly the sharpest tool in the shed.

I wasn't trying to poke fun at you, just answering your question.

  • The Lemon Song

  • That is from "The Lemon Song" they used it quite a lot in their early concerts.

  • The Lemon Song is a song of theirs with that line, they often liked to mix songs and someitmes play entire parts of one the midst of another, and back and forth, metallica used to do this too, don't know if they do now

  • They did!?.....heh

  • in live concerts, sorry for confusion

  • No confusion I just didnt know they did that!

  • God damn Zep was good. I saw them live in Pasadena 1968 first tour. Incredible.

  • OH. MY. GOD.

  • somebody said shut up around 1:45 lol

  • Jeeze... Bonham at about 10:21 or so is INCREDIBLE! As a matter of fact... he always was! :)

  • ledzepgirl, u will uderstand it when u grow up :))

  • little Robert Anthony wants to come and play.

  • classic bonham power 9:48 - 9:58

  • this shows that Jimmy Is levels above Clapton if u ask me.

  • I want to squeeze Robert´s lemons!

  • God you make me wanna be robert plant a little more :D

  • Yeah, that man is hot! So you'd like to be him :P

  • Ahah.

If i was robert plant from 1970 it would be a dream come true.

  • Yeah, you'd be famous, rich, beloved, adored and wanted by thousands of willing groupies.

  • jeeez.

Please be my best friend :DD

  • No prob :) Especially if you look like Robert or have his hilarious hair :)

You want me to squeeze your lemons?

    Jus kiddin :P

  • I got the bulge and i got the hair :D

    Im all set.

And sure. As long as it makes me hit them high notes

  • You got his hair? That's hot!

But I actually don't know what squeezing someone's leons means, just that it is something sexual....

  • squeeze his dick and give him an erection

  • Ehmm, ok. But it was obvious it was going to be something in this direction

  • Its funny how robert says something about kardethgetting in there next weeek i beleive and in earls court he mentions how they wouldnt let them in because they didnt have a tie on lol right before tangerine in earls court he says that!

  • shivers down my back!!!!!

  • This is fuckin CRAZY !!!!

    GODS OF ROCK.

  • Music in its finest form. Led Zeppelin are simply the greatest showmen of all time. that was the greatest form of music ever played, period

  • "squeeze my lemon till the juice runs down my leg thats what my mamma said" AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH

  • i like 0:00 - 10:47 the best.

  • Good, better, all opinions!

The Beatles were probably on of the best songwriters ever, all Zep members were/are very talented in their part, Jimmy on the guitar, bonham at drums, they have such a powerfull sound, overwhelming!

    They are both wonderful.

  • lol. i want you to sqeeze my lemon, totally wasnt expecting that.

  • 8:46 is gold til the end. I love that riff.

  • 2:23 - 2:30 is such an amazing riff

  • yes it is, and also incrediably easy to play!

  • simplicity is Golden

  • agreed.

  • 7:21 is a siiiiiccckk riff

  • mmm the lemon song

  • it is absolutely amazing how some things not only get better with age, but are completly impervious to years gone by...

i don't remember exactly when i heard this first time, but damn, it still sends shivers down my spine..

and it's the same with all their songs..

    they're not legendary..they're mythical...

  • I totally agree with you man! It's like a good french red wine - a good Chateauneuf du Pape: it gets better with time, send shivers down ours spines, bodies aching all the times ;-)))))))

  • The greatest hard rock band ever...yea

The greatest blues rock band ever...yea

The greatest band ever...no way better than the Beatles. First of all its Apples and Oranges, Zep had very little vocal harmonies, one singer instead of 4...don't get me wrong cause I totally love Zep, I saw this original line up live @San Diego Sports Arena 4 times in the late 60s early 70s. Different show each time. I dont think Jimmy Page ever plays a song the same way night after night.

  • SO youre saying that just because zep had one singer its not as good as the beatles? Im sorry but Plant could own all four beatles even if you combined them.

The Beatles were good, but Zep was better.

  • Read what I said again! I love Zep, saw them live many times, was digging this song back in 1970 and still dig it. As your musical tastes refine over the years, you gain appreciation for vocal harmonies and have to keep that in context of rating the best band ever...thats all...peace!!!

  • greatest band ever. i believe there better than the rolling stones and even the beatles. I mean look at there line up. they have arguably the greatest frontman, one of the greatest guitarists, arguably the greatest drummer, and arguably the greatest bassist.

  • they did....

this was the year someone should have seen them live

  • umm what? i dont understand what your saying?

  • this WAS the best year LZ ever had live

  • they always made that blues, which is its name?

  • You mean All Down The Line? Or what... ?

  • ROBERT PLANT IS A GOLDEN GOD

  • THE GOLDEN GOD

  • A GOLDEN GOD

  • THEEEEEE!!! GOLDEN GOD!!!! Lol he was the only!!!!

  • John Paul Jones is chillllll as fucK!

  • his amazing isn't he look at his fingers at the start of this part

  • jimmy page is my hero

  • oooh sooooooooo goooood!!!!!!!!!!

  • jimmy page is the man

  • trust me try cumming while stoned/drunk when the squezze my lemon intro starts,

I am in heaven it is the closest thing to heaven.

  • ssss sssss sssss cmon everybody ssssss sssss sssssss

  • Face-melting

    Hardon inducing

    Musical Bliss

  • Jimmy Page is doing the pickup switch thing before Tom Morello!!

  • hey does anyone knoe what notes hes playing at 7min 20seconds til 7min and 55 seconds if u do somhow give me tabs or somthing ive been trying to figure it out but cant figure exactly wat notes they are thanks

  • How could they ever consider getting a new singer? Plant was fucking awesome.

  • "Of my loving... Gun! I couldn't make it that time." Who else would apologise mid song for not being able to reach a B5.

  • SQUEEZE MY LEMON UNTIL THE JUICE RUNS DOWN MY LEg, just so sexy

  • ROCKS OF GOD.

  • ... Did you get that switched up?

    GODS OF ROCK.

  • OFF COURSE THEY ARE THE GODS OF ROCK,LIKE ROBERT SAYS,BUT THEY ARE THE ROCKS OF GOD TOO!!!

    xD

  • Lol youre right :D theyre both those
