The sport of Gymnastics will never be the same without her. She was a great inspiration. I feel bad for her. A lot of people wish she would come back for one last worlds and retire on a high note. You will probably disagree, but I think if you look at it optimistically, she did finish on a high note. She went to the Olympic Games and contributed a lot to the team. If you do the math, even without the falls, The US still would have lost to China.

She has won many awards, is clearly one of the VERY best gymnasts...I know it was very disappointing for her not to win gold in the 2008 Olympics, but to me odd as it may seem,

her IMperfection at the Olympics has in some ways perfected her.

We know darn well she could have won, she HAS won, but now instead of a perfect statue on a distant hill, that public loss made her a perfection that's more real, like one of US :)
