  • cool man never heard of that one

  • You can do these in a shoulder-press seat/rack if it has a place to rest the barbell. Doing them seated allows for a spot to help lift the weight up, and also allows you to lift a HELL of a lot more weight.

  • thank you for this new exercise.i can already shrug 900lbs,but this is a complete new feel

  • might have to try this as a burn set after a heavy workout, but traps respond better to max weight. still worth mixing up exercises

  • maybe because I never excercise this before

  • I feel much more on the shoulder when I do this....

  • this is fucking stupid.

I can't lift 225 above my head, but I can definitely shrug that much. If I do what this moron does, my traps will call me a pussy and take a nap.

  • @darkcurrent No not really because this is an isolation excersise you can't do side lateral raises with as much weight as you can shoulder press but there still just as challenging and it's not about the weight it's all about feeling the muscle working.

  • @zdo5p Shut the fuck up dipshit. First of all, learn to use English properly. They're not there. Second, shrugs are the BEST isolation exercise for traps. What this moron's doing is a COMPOUND exercise. You need stabilizers in your tri's, bi's, anterior deltoids, and lower back to do a rep. Getting to the starting position (basically a clean and press) requires a LOT of tris and delts.

  • @darkcurrent Ahh, the typical idiotic reply from a pencil necked, astute judge of deity wanna be troll. There are slightly different angles to hit the traps from, but that doesn't necessarily mean superior growth. Seeing as you are a fragile young boy still, I highly recommend you ask your foster parents to smack you around a few times like the wuss you are and then maybe you will be somewhat enlightened. I only comment to people like you, who need serious help. This is the only reply you get <3

  • @InferiorThanYou Poor boy got delt! Get it . . . ?

  • @darkcurrent it wouldn't be that hard to get into the starting position if you started off from the rack =/ and whilst you do need to stablize the weight, the weight wouldnt be that heavy in comparison to your shoulders, back and arms (unless you're really imbalanced) if you're just doing an overhead shrug.

  • @darkcurrent First off... this guy isn't a moron, he is a top level powerlifter... have you seen his traps? He must be doing something right dontcha think? Second... The exercise shown here is a good one, just hitting a different trap and rotator fibers. Know your shit before you start flappin the gums bucko.

  • @zmaybasser46 Ahh, the typical moronic reply... he's big, so he must be doing it right. Shut the fuck up dipshit. What if he's juicing? does that mean his lifts would work for someone that's not juicing? What if it took him 13 yrs to get his traps that big... pretty pathetic growth rate.

How stupid do you have to be to fall for that fallacy?

2nd, there is no "different" trap, you only have 1.

    imbecile.

  • @darkcurrent haha is all the swearing really necessary? Do you feel better by using it? I know him personally... so yes, and yes, he knows what the fuck he is doing.. Say he was juicing.. it still would work for someone who doesn't, and that has stood true. Do you know anything of human anatomy? Yes, you have one complete trap, but the traps are divided into three sections with fibers running in different directions.. which means what? THEY DO DIFFERENT THINGS. Kids these days.

  • @darkcurrent there's 3 parts to your traps? and there's left and right? so that would mean there are at least 2 traps which are broken up into 3 parts =/

  • its not something better but its something different so your workouts dont get into a stag

  • You can't hold so much weight!

  • woaa mudvayyyyne

  • whats the matter of that

    Why is this better??ß
