How to git MAME OSX and Games & how to use your PS3 controller on your MAC

A little help here if you can help at all. When put in the button I want assigned too, after pressing enter and pressing the botton I want, it just keeps adding to a list of buttons assigned to that one command. How do I erase all commands so that I can press one button and it works with just one button?

I had the same problem. Make sure you have the .zip folder with the ROM EXACTLY in the ROM folder, so that when you go Library>Application Support>MAME OSX>ROMS you can see the rom title. In the case with the game that Feaster was playing you should see tmnt2.zip. After you do that be sure to audit your roms while you are in MAME OS X by pushing File and then Audit All Games. The game files should then start to appear on the Good tab. Hope that helped.

Have followed your directions and read through other peoples similar problems to avoid bothering you, but with every game i try to load i get "some files were missing" message and to view the log window for details. Audited all games and have tried redirecting via user/app support/...etc. I am unable to choose the zip files that are in either part1 or part2 of the rom downloads. They appear, but remain un-chooseable. Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to overcome this issue?

@TidyBridie89 there really is no way to find 1 rom for that 1 game in your mac. the names of the ZIP. files are wired some times and not even helpful (some times). what i would do is look for the rom u want and download it then right click it and label it with a color so u know witch one u have downloaded

on my iMac it auto unzips the roms once the finish downloading, that may be your problem Falcon110. Just right click on the file once downloaded and choose compress. now it is zipped again. move that new zipped file to the roms folder and have fun!

When I try to download other games they unzip automatically after download is complete. The games are now in a folder and does not get recognized when being audited. How can I download other games and they stay in a zip file?

@hojidc21 it's easy, win zip is automatic, so, right click on the unzipped folder and goto compress, it will automaticly create a .zip folder right under it. Then "drag" that to roms. Hope this helps.

I did everything you said. I also downloaded the roms from the site you recommended. When I audit them only about 20% of the games are in the "Good" list. The remaining games don't appear in that list. I checked and I do have the roms. I don't get why all Neo Geo game can't get audited or games like MK 1 and MK 2 are fine but MK 3 doesn't appear in the list.

Is it a rom thing? Or is it the program that can't run those specific games? (I googles this to death and I can't find an answer). help!
