Great video! That big buck was like a moth to a flame...he seemed to like the light? I have actually witnessed tumors on deer like the second clip, but none of that size. We shot a doe one time that had a softball size cyst and it turned out to be a piece of antler inside!

You need a film projector with variable speed control and multi-bladed shutter and a camcorder with variable exposure and shutter speeds is that the film rate for 8mm film is usually 18 frames per second and the frame rate of the camcorder is 30 frames per second.

The best spot to view them was out my parents bedroom window. Dad always kept the camera charged and ready to go for which ever of us caught something special. I had to mute the volume...you could here the fan going right next to me and my mom snoring away! It's no longer legal to bait deer like this in MI but it was neat while it lasted.....they no longer live there but I drive by a lot.....not a place you'd expect to see a lot of deer but when theres easy food they come from everywhere.
Hate to do this to you, but I think you'd better put off hunting this year, and just go through those old tapes and put more up for us. We'll let you know how the season goes. lol I've seen injured deer before, but that was wild. Must not have slowed him down too much, though, or the coyotes would have had him. Ya, my dad has been struggeling with this, he bought a new/used 8mm projector just for this, he tried to shoot the 8mm with video and got a line that travels from the bottom of the image to the top constently because the speeds do not match so then he took the film to a company in Atlanta where he lives and asked them to convert it and they wanted $11,000.00 for what he had there, so we dont know what to do next, it seams like someone would have a scanner type thing you can use?

Thanks man, I've heard that before when the school bus would pick me up in the morning and there where deer all over the yard haha. I never had the urge to slide that window open although it would had been very easy to do....just wouldn't be proud of myself but those two where great bucks for the area and only made one appearance. The neighbor kid said he had missed the wide 8 with a bow earlier in the season.
