I disagree. Unless you're fighting an unfair fight (5 levels or more above the gladiator). I've been PVPing since level 30, and I've been dominating every single class except over-geared templars. You only need 2 things as a gladiator, the ranged root skill, a secondary weapon bow for stun procs while being kited, and most importantly, potions to remove debuffs (read: Roots), might want some speed scrolls to help too, but they're not required. Anyway, anything but a powerful templar I can kill.

air chains, youll get them on like 22. they deal nice amount of damage, stuns the target for 2s and are usable only on the ground targets (=limited use in abyss). still awesome skill with nice effect, best used as a combo with ankle snare (root them to the ground, then air chains combo).

The only thing that seems boring with the chains that it limits your made up spellchains. I'd like it more if it was more spellborn like, open your combo with one attack, keep it alive with any other skill and then finish it with some kind of finisher skill.

Imo, Gladiator skill chains and skill effects look the most appealing out of all other class's skill effects I have seen tbh. Only being level 22, you can get that awesome spinning skill, it makes me want to make a Gladiator. I see all melee classes (except assasin) have a massive disadvantage over Sorcerers and Spirit masters they barely have any skills to make them get in range. By looking at videos its just seems like Glads have no chance over Templars (this was @ lvl 45). Are glads Under P?

I would have to agree. The Gladiator chains look fantastic, and the class plays very well. But during this open beta I am playing everything but a Gladiator to see if anything else looks like a main class for me when it goes live.

All of the skills in the chain have a cooldown. All you have to do is put the first skill of the chain on your quickbar. When you use that skill, it will flash, meaning you can use the 2nd skill in the chain. If the 3rd skill in the chain is cooled down, it will flash again, meaning you can use the 3rd skill.

Gladiators don't do as much damage as ranged, but they can take more than 5 hits unlike ranged classes.

that aint true they wont own u while u do that combo..to max ur dmg output or to cuz debuffs u need to combo.and that goes for both sides!after all this game isnt wow..u dont run around spamming all the buttons at once...the way to victory is 1 and only..break ur enemy's combos and land ur own..at the right time with the right terms..that is what makes u skilled and victorius

BTW, the only reason anyone would watch the skill chain in slow motion is so they know when to stop it, usually you stun/knockback people after the second skill, disabling the third, usually most powerful, and making sure that they have to wait for the cooldown on that whole combo.

I'm lvl 13 and i can do the full first combo chain and basically its pressing the same button 3 times. once you do an opener it changes into the next skill and then the next skill there's no pushing multiple separate buttons. unless you want to.

The skill system in the chinese game is much more difficult than in the Korean game, because in the chinese version the skills pop up on screen whereas in the Korean game the possible combo skills only glow.

Also congrats on level 13, get to level 50 and tell me it takes no skill.

you can turn it off btw its in the settings. Also, I though only being 41 on the chinese server, the combo skills branch out a lot after say 28. you get your straight A-B-C, then there's A-B-D then sometimes you get a A-B-C-E on rare occasions. but Yes, it does take some skills =D
