If I worked in this shop and made a mistake, which does happen, I would have given a refund and even done a re-piercing for free. This did not have to be on the news. That is a very unattractive piercing on this girl anyways.
a belly button piercing is a surface piercing and those are hard to heal. and you sign a waiver that the studio is not liable for any damages, and that you knowingly accept the risks of what you are paying for.
there should be a no fatties shop policy, I hate tattooing big people. A set of cherries turnes into a set of grapefruits like that when you stretch the skin.
belly piercings should be done with HOOPS anyways, so you can rotate it and get the puss/scab out, plus it lets the piercing breathe. with a barbell the balls are touching, or almost touching not allowing the piercing to breathe properly, and making cleaning almost impossible
do you even know what you are talking about. Navel piercings by industry standards should be done with a barbell that is longer than the actual piercing to allow for swelling as well as for cleaning. And also if you were to twist a ring through a fresh piercing that still had a scab on it you are just re tearing open the wound. It may also cause a longer healing time. So I will NOT pierce a belly on an overweight person. If you have a flatter tummy the healing process is normally smoother due to the absence of belly fat etc.

It's not as if there is some kind of class action law suit involving 50 people who were deceived. I feel we need to give the benefit of the doubt to the parlor in this case. It probably was a one time occurrence.
I may also be that he misjudged because the two ladies were overweight? I'm no expert but maybe that contributed?
