and can someone tell me what's bad about the WE Scar? because i've seen alot of good and bad reviews but i just want an unbiased view on how it really is in terms from a previous or current owner. thanks.
@lxgiwylgta The version of the WE SCAR that you probably see the most on YouTube is the V3, the "brass tube" version. This version is outdated compared to the more robust V4, the open bolt version. Nonetheless, the V3 is still a good GBBR to use in games. However, from personal experience, I feel that the V3 should only be operated by experienced GBBR users because it cannot take the damage or neglect caused by inexperience with handling GBBR's. Inexperienced players tend to forget to lubricate
@lxgiwylgta the gun, put the oil in the gas valve, fire long bursts, and the list goes on and on. The GBBR needs the attention of an experienced user. Also, two of the parts: the hammer and the silver piece that prevents premature firing, tends to break within the first 100 - 300 shots. However, once you fix those kinks and learn how to take care of your gun, it is nothing less than a blast to play with! It will be very reliable if treated properly. You can drop your gun on the field and still
@lxgiwylgta Not necessarily. The "V" stands for version. There are four versions of the WE SCAR, the V1, which I think was recalled for performance issues; the V2, which had a weak back plate that broke when the gun fired; the V3, the one I have now, and the V4: The open bolt.
Some may argue that the true V4 is the CO2 model, but I personally think it is just a V3 with a CO2 magazine.
The newer WE Rifles are open bolt models, such as the WE G39, AK, and M14.
@gbbmaster I am not much of a magazine specialist. However, to maintain your magazine, you always want to lube it with silicone after the second refill of green gas or propane. If you do not plan to use it in a while, store it in a zip-lock bag to prevent dust from collecting near the valve. Magazines are not something that you would want to open up when it comes to maintainence, however for strenghtening seals, do it at your own risk.
@MrMuthaUcker Here in California, you can get about 60 shots on semi. It depends heavily on temperature, altitude, and different pressures in the air. But its not like your going to use this during a hurricane lol.
@MrMuthaUcker I've had much better success with propane and green gas. @ 75 rounds per mag fill. But thats closed bolt too if you have an open bolt expect much less efficiency on either gas.
i got this gun just a few days ago, im a sniper but a wanted a real good side gun do you think this would work i only have 1 mag but im thinking about buying a couple more, and one more thing, is the co2 supposed to be tight or hard to get in, i think it's because i used a pretty old BB gun co2 cartridges it was very complicated to get out
@airsoftassassin07 It is okay as a side arm. In fact, I also use this gun as my sniper (its great lol). About the CO2 cartridge, yeah, it does get stuck almost all the time. Doesn't matter what cartridge you use, it will get stuck. A couple (or fourteen) good whacks at the bottom of the magazine should do it. Just grab your mag and slam it on something soft, and firm. If that doesnt work, unscrew the little screw on the magazine, slide out the cover (watchout for falling pieces) and take it out.
for me it was so tight that i had to you an electric screw drive and washer to pretty much pull out so im thinking maybe like sanding down the metal a bit around it?
@airsoftassassin07 What are you using an electroc screw for? And wait til tommorrow, I will post a video on how to remove a stuck CO2 cartridge. Ill also mention where to sand also.

one question, can the scar gbb feed greengas mags?
lxgiwylgta 2 weeks ago
@lxgiwylgta Well, a gbbr can't feed, as in insert, gas into a magazine.
The WE SCAR can USE green gas mags.

velraam1 5 months ago
@velraam1 All .12 gram CO2 cartridges will yield the same amount of shots as the one I am using, a crossman.

@MarineAirsoftReviews Post something more intelligent and more understandable. Your random comment does not make any sense.
