I do think she looks rather heavy-lidded in some of her closeups... and although she does look beautiful, there is something "not well" about her in this sequence. In the others outtakes from this unfinished film I don't notice it.
@SGTG77 I think this clip is squeezed vertically to fit a 4x3 TV ratio so she seems thinner than she actually was. Interesting to ponder how her career would have progressed given the changing times. Here she's successfully (I think) in the Doris Day romantic comedy mode, but this brand of movie was fading. I try to think of 60's movies that Marylin could have made later. How about Mrs. Robinson in The Graduate? I think she would have remained relevant unlike other bombshell types.
It's mindblowing that in this, her last (though uncompleted) film, Monroe NEVER looked more beautiful. Svelte (granted, from her appendectomy, and the stay in Payne Whitney Clinic), but her skin glowed, and her body seemed at peak form. And that hair! Now THAT's platinum hair! I have AMC's 'reconstructed' version of the film and I treasure it.
Move Over Darling. Fox did the remake Didn't bring in the bucks they might have hoped for. Every time I hear the phrase Something's Got To Give. I can't think of anyone else. Norma Jeane died way to soon. Her legend as Marilyn Monroe will never pass.
there are some really great scenes in the short footage available. very funny script and marilyn's at her best with timing and delivery. it would have been one of those rare 60s comedies that you can watch now.

She does not look drunk or high or acted crazy to me. I still maintain that the studio made up all that bs to control her.
