  • what a couragous person, I really am sad to hear of his passing. Makes me mad that people who aren't even sick all they do is complain and the people are really sick, have so much courage and strength.

  • southernstar, I couldn't agree more with you. I lost my brother a year ago to this and I can't stand listening to people complain about a little ache.....drives me crazy!!

  • lost my father to this in 1988, he lived 2 yrs..may we find a cure soon

  • that disease sucks!!!!

  • ALS killed my Mother in 1988. Fight this killer. There is no cure. We need to find one,

  • I wish everyone could have his positive outlook. My mother has this and she isn't viewing it like he is. He is such a strong person

  • I'd like to point out for people who don't know about ALS "It can also cause paralysis and death." There should be no can also in that sentence, ALS always leads to death. RIP Joe. My mother lost her battle to ALS after a year and a half, April 27th 2009, two weeks ago. We need to find a cure.

  • stem cell research is good.

  • This disease makes me sure there is no god. Long live evolution and stem cell research, not some bogus sky jockey who would never allow such atrocities if he was real.

  • God doesnt make people sick.....listen to urself before u say things like that....

  • Thank you for sharing, Mr. B!!!

  • I honor Mr. B. for his triumph, I learned today that my mother was diagnosed with ALS today. Even crying, i'm trying to learn everything about it. Mr. B. Godspeed, I hope all is well.

  • I'm sorry raindog. Best of luck to you and your mother. As a suggestion - read the book titled: Tuesdays With Morrie

  • I have known Joe since the '80's. Although we lost touch through the years, he has always been one of my favorite people to know.

He always had a smile on his face and his spirit was and still is infectious. The laughs that he's brought to his friends are too many to count.

I had dinner with Joe after he had been diagnosed, and he was handling this with incredible grace.

If ever there was a case of something very bad happening to someone very good, this is it.

  • Maybe he needs you now..the reason for getting back into touch?..just a thought..you saw him recently..maybe a sign...God Bless...

  • huh?
