@kabloom321 an early review of an early screening of the film says sokka is the comic relief of the film. since this is a live action film it was bound to be more serious compared to the cartoon.

@himsanjun couldn't be another Dragonball. Avatar (animated serie) was an American production while DB(anime) was a Japanese one where Americans just put their hands on.
