Fiesta ST VS Opel Corsa OPC

Fun little toys however , love both of these cars .

Now we only need to wait for ford to release the new fiesta st offcourse . Then again , the mk6 stays an epic car in my history-books, had loads of fun with them , even on the tracks. I've owned a 1.6i and an st . Especially tuning-wise these fiesta's are very well supported by many companies and will be seen on the tracks for many years probably !

@RafaelRodgers dude be realistic...or maybe just do your homework . No Fiesta nowadays can cope with the new 2012 corsa's , atleast not these sporty ones .

Bring in tuning, it could be a different story indeed ..then again , it would cost you alot more then a corsa Nurburg or OPC . The St was a great car indeed , it's the last one with hydraulic-steering aswell ..but don't be fool and respect Opel for what they have done with these lovely corsa's ;-)

well, st is about 1 second slower on paper, so vxr is quicker no question. 190 vs 150 :P .. st is good enough in it's class.

Knowing the fact not all standard st's were given the 150bhp , that could explain it though. Many only got a 145bhp and those didn't even touched the 8secs . Seen so many ford-lovers dissapointed with their St's . But ! When given a new airbox and a good chip-tuning the ST came really alive . I'm just guessing the opel goes faster then 7.2secs and this fiesta needs maintanance ;-)

VXR all the way, although it was unfair on the ST, maybe a corsa SRI would be more fairer, i own a VXR in UK and its more compatible to a Audi TT or a Clio Sport V6 rather than a Fiesta ST, ST's are really amazing cars because we used to have one, better on handling than a Vauxhall Corsa VXR although engine power is a couple of grades lower :/

st has less power and one more person on it, i know OPC (is that called VXR in UK?) is faster, but its not fair, st could be a little faster than that.. currently i own a st but would be happy to have a vxr if im rich.....

A friend of mine has the St190 kit on his ...must say its impressive. Slower then I thought as i raped it with my 05 MG ZR 160 VVC....brother has the OPC Corsa and believe me its faster than my ZR but very K@K when it comes to handling. ST much better in handling then the OPC....

You can bring that OPC against an ST190 ANY DAY... We have proven a few times now that we beat them with the ST190 kits over 400m... And even then, we are making less power @ 138KW / 220nm... Wait till our research is done so we can compare apples with apples!

war zu erwarten... corsa opc 192ps/ fiesta st 150ps

ausserdem erreicht der opc durch die zwangsbeatmung schon bei ~2000U/min sein max drehmoment(235Nm glaub ich) während der st erst bei 4500U/min sein max drehm. erreicht (190Nm) usw usw... schlechter vergleich einfach...

Der Corsa ist ein Monster!

Ich bin Ford fan und kann das sagen weil es einfach so ist.

Ich weiß nicht ob mich mit meinem mk7 in kurven nass macht.(Lässt sich rausfinden).

Fest steht beides geile Autos nur Schade das es 50ps unterschied oder was sind und das es sich nicht um gleiche bauhjahre handelt.

Leuts, der ST ist klar das bessere Auto !

1.Hat den größeren Motor ( Ohne Zwangsbeatmung )

2. Den besseren Sound

3. Die bessere Kurvenlage

4. Die geilere Optik

5. Bringt mehr fun.

Und ich bin beide Autos gefahren. Fahre jetzt den ST mit 185 PS ... glaube mir auf der Rennstrecke lässt er den OPC alt aussehen ! !

@RoodmanAJ Sicherlich nicht, der Corsa ist ein Kurvenmonster und lässt deinen ST bei Kurvenfahrten stehen. Der ST hat vielleicht den größeren Motor, hat aber Standard auch nur 150 PS. Sound des STs ist besser, das stimmt. Optisch weiss ich nicht, ist halt Geschmackssache. Und ja, ich bin Fiesta ST gefahren. Musste mich zwischen Corsa GSi/OPC, John Cooper Works und Fiesta ST entscheiden. Hab den Corsa GSi genommen und fahre den mit OPC Software, da gleicher Motor ;)

...letzt endlich alles eine Frage des Geschmacks. Ich habe mit meinem eben mehr Spaß als mit dem OPC. Das Go-Kart Feeling kommt, finde ich , besser rüber. Und ich bin kein Freund von Turbofahrzeugen. Klar das er den brachiale Anzug des OPC nicht stand halten kann.....muss er aber auch nicht ;) - auf der Rennstrecke sind beide ziemlich ausgeglichen. Aber ein standart ST 150 hat natürlich keine Chance gegen den OPC ;)

@FocusRS1991 Actually no. The Corsa is great in corners. This race sucks anyway. It should have been Corsa D GSi(150 HP) vs. Fiesta ST (150 HP). It's obvious that the OPC is faster with almost 200 HP.

I don't mean to argue, but actually it isn't good in corners, it sucks because it's to heavy. 206 was good in corners, clio 180 was good in corners, but they both weighted barely a tone. 200hp minicars with 1300+ kg are just not. They are slow in the corner and slow out of the corner.

And yes, he had him there for a moment if he wouldn't miss shifted. I know what 2.0l atmospheric does and that was not it.

@TheMiha321 I don't count the Corsa D as a minicar anymore. Compare it to the A/B. Those used to be minicars. The new Fiesta isn't a minicar either. Some people think, the Corsa is good in corners (and to be honest: compared to most other cars, the corsa really doesn't suck in corners! But as you probably know, there will always be a better car of the same class in some categories) and some others believe, their car is good in corners. What would any car be without a good driver? Just a car! :D

I own a corsa opc, and I know for a fact that the st can in now way compare to it, not in a straight line or around a track, even the focus st gets owned by the corsa, the fiesta st is best compared to the corsa C gsi, not the corsa D opc. and aas this video was shot in cape town the altitude will also play a huge factor. the driver of the opc got a terrible start. wheels spinning all through first. if the start was better it would no contest from pull away
