This movie was one of the better surprises of 08, i only went to see it cause my girlfriend really wanted to, but as the movie went on i found myself laughing and invested in all the characters. Hopefully dreamworks don't do what they usually do and run the franchise into the ground *cough* shrek *cough* but i think thats asking for too much from em.

Either way it wont change how awesome this movie was, it, shrek 1 and how to train your dragon are probably the 3 best movies dreamworks have made.

my only problem with the movie is his panda style at the end. for the most part, he's literally falling into the moves. it's like he's not actually doing anything. You can do "buffoon style" without it being ridiculas. I would have preferred they do a kindof drunken master type thing.

or just do more like at the end after he gets kicked to the ground, instead of having him literally bounce around without any order.

This film is AWFUL, I really don't get why it was so popular. The story sucked, the jokes sucked and the moral messages were friggin' horrific.

Unlike Shreks 1 and 2 which taught kids that you can be a good person under an ugly exterior while providing many laughs, Kung Fu Panda tells kids that being lazy and an under achiever will get you further than the guy who works hard his whole life. Wonderful.

The animation style was great, and the voices of all the best people interpreting them makes it even better. It was really funny, cool, interesting, ans so on and so forth. Jack Black did a hell of a job for voiceing and voiceovers. 4 stars.

The story is completely unoriginal and the ending is kind of predictable, BUT it's still a fantastic movie. It looks downright amazing. You have to see this movie on a big television and not here on YouTube to fully appreciate the visuals. The movie is also very funny and it's pretty much for anyone of any age. THAT'S what makes a great "kids" movie.

One thing that bothered me is that they got great voice actors and they barely used them.

I'm sorry to say this but I didn't like the incredibles that much( I mean it was good and all) I just think it was a bit overrated. Personally I liked kung fu panda more than the incredibles and Wall-E for that matter. My favorite 3D animated movie however is still Toy Story.

@pianist150 Thank you for your honest opinion. But I still think that The Incredibles and Wall-E are good films but just highly overrated. Here's why The Incredibles was basically a kiddie version of the fantastic four(hell it was better than the fantastic four the first one and second one) but their was nothing really special about it. It just seemed like an average comedy. And Wall-E well lets face it some parts of the movie were just boring in my opinion.

@09tranm There's so much special about the Incredibles, the overall idea of taking and extraordinary family and forcing them to degrade to mediocrity. They made characters that you not only related to but that you cared about their outcome. It gave people amazing abilities and intense situation but after all of it theyre still family. Just the concept of the movie is great in itself and they did in such a way that it came out even better then you thought it would.

But I will admit the first half of the movie was 10000000 times better then the rest of it however i loved the whole thing. But kung fu panda was a repeated story that was done better then usually but Ive still been there before. Funny yes, great fight scenes yes, but had po died in the end I wouldnt have been too upset. But like I said before I never said Wall-E was a bad movie I really enjoyed it I just liked Kung Fu Panda more(it might be partly because I'm a martial artist myself) but I'll tell you one thing to me Kung Fu Panda was alot better than Kill Bill 1&2(in my opinion I think Tarantino's films are just the average action flick but just a little bit more over the top).

But Still I still prefer the Toy Story trilogy over all others. Up was Amazing too.

In my opinion the best dream works flicks are Shrek 1&2 and Kung Fu Panda and for Pixar The Toy Story Trilogy, Up are my favorites(but all of the pixar movies are great Finding nemo is a bit behind up in my opinion). Ratatouille is also awesome. The only one I haven't seen is Cars.

If you thought it was overrated that's fine by me but I just thought the incredibles and Wall-E were overrated(Wall-E a bit boring and The Incredibles is just a kiddie version of the Fantastic Four but I liked the Incredibles better than the Fantastic Four). I love this movie! It's without a doubt one of the best films Dreamworks has ever sent out. Great action, hilarious, and the characters are likable at best. The only problem is that with a film so successful, they got, like, five sequels planned; that's way too much to cover. They made the same mistake with Shrek.
