Sounds like someone is using Atmosphere Deluxe! I tend to turn off the "heavy rain" setting because of that constant water dripping sound.

@fruithero Atmosphere Deluxe is a program that randomly generates the sound of rain. It's very good, but having used it for a long time, I guess I can tell when Atmosphere deluxe has been used, because this sounds like it, to me. Especially that water dripping sound.

@raginroadrunner Yeah i would probably go mental living there. I'm from New Zealand so i may be bias but i think we have a really good balance of rain and sunshine although sometimes it gets annoying have all four seasons in one day

@fruithero i tried to make my friend listen to rain fall clips too.some people imagine horror movies,some people imagine peaceful cottage with rain outside.

its a question of mindset towards the interpretation of the sound you hear.

@jeetendrag10 Heh that is interesting, I cant even imagine a horror scene with rain sounds:P. But I have had some people who find it very annoying or making them restless. I still fall asleep with rain sounds every night because it centers my thoughts into nothing and makes me able to sleep quickly.

I love it when it rains like this at night when I am sleeping. It soo peaceful and beautiful. During the day, I like to open my drapes and open my window a little bit when I am reading. Oh is it nice, the smell of the rain in the air, and to listen to the rain hit the ground and trees...what a wonderful world we live in sometimes.

I remember that Sharper Image had a sound effect machine (round and about the size of a coffee can) that could play all kinds of natural sounds. I never got around to buying one. I regret it now.

Thank you for posting this! I actually bought some cassettes(remember those...) that were recordings ofrainfall, ocean waves, and such to help me relax when I was in college. I would often play a cassette of this when I laid down to sleep. Wow, my roommate sure had a lot of patience...
