this is really nice - thanks for the upload - though I'm very pleased to see a lot of people asking for one professional DVD live recording from that '86/'87 tour - anyone owns the "12 wasted years" tape, knows that they had filmed material in Tokyo -1987:D
@amithabajan2 - I don't want to contradict you,but ...Michael Kenney played to keyboard. His collaboration with Maiden began in 1986, during the Somewhere In Time tour. There is no problem, maybe you didn't know that.
I´m pretty sure that the song wanders around the Idea of a man that has done bad things in his life and would do anything to get back in time and set them right, so the devil apears and offers him to send him back in time in exchange of his soul, the song is in the devil´s perspective, that is why "time is always in my side"
All Maiden fans wish there was a pukka film release from this tour! It will never happen though!?! Their best record ever! The only Maiden album I listen to every week. Took my daughter to see them last year - my proudest moment. Her first live band, just like her Dad's \m/
it's a shame really they somehow ended up without any pro footage of this tour... I mean how retarded is this? this and the fact that they have never played live Alexander the Great.
there is pro shot from this tour, and it is in Japan. I don´t know about the present condition of it, or are there copies in the UK or somewhere else.
I always thought the Album S.I.T was highly under-rated as far as Maiden goes. Its an awsome album and Bruce's vocal is just supurb. WHat I would of given to see this live in 86. I was only 10 though lol
Hmmm, anyone notice Bruces blooper at 3:42, he got the first and last semi chorus lines mixed up so had to repeat the latter...even the greatest make mistakes lol
Great!!! One of the most underrated songs and albums of metal... "Somewhere in Time" is among my favourite Iron Maiden albums and I do hope to have soon a DVD-release of that Tour...
Unfortunetly I was too young on that tour to see them. Why didn´t they never release an official live video from that tour. Somewhere in time is the maiden album with the best sound!
