I CANNOT RECORD. I hit record the 2nd time & it appears to be recording, BUT NO bars for L & R showing up. (I had it set up to record standard large wave files) When I look at files it shows a wave, but when I play it back, there is NO sound. I put the memory card into my computer to look at the waves in Cool Edit Pro & the stereo tracks were EMPTY. I have read the manual 5 times. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with my recorder?

I have this unit and I enjoy it very much. It doubles as my MP3 player as well as I record my bands rehearsals. It is a great for capturing ideas or later to use for further post production work.

Nice idea, but much like the old school sticking to film cameras, you're only going to be disappointed because it won't happen.

What will happen will be that the horsepower of these devices will increase meaning an increase in bitrates and minimal (and later none) compression.
