  • thank you so much, yo saved my life

  • Using 3DS max 2012 ... There is no plugin for this in UDK. What should i use?

  • @sid78601 UDK decided to drop actor x in favour of the .FBX file type since the .FBX pipeline is supported by most Autodesk applications :)

  • Why am I getting this warning when I'm using the ActorX?

74 'Unmatched node ID' Physique skin vertex errors encounted.

I assigned a hood with Rigid bone, then a piece of plane with Cloth bone.

Both the hood and plane are one poly object though.

  • I really have no idea what you just did. I followed along, but I don't understand exactly what you or I jjust did.

  • Could you slow down a little.

  • if you are a student, you can use 3ds max for free, else you can use the 30 days trial

  • how would one go about obtaining 3ds max?

  • @CaptainEvilStopper you best option as

  • I dident know I could use maya whit UDK this means I dont have to go and learn a how new program

  • Thanks for providing a usable mesh to complete the tutorial! However, I would love to know how I would build my own in maya. I built a bone structure similar to yours, but, typically nothing worked :D

  • dammit!! it's cost me 2800$

  • @Shadowwofno do you have like 3,500$?

  • @Raven, how would you go about making the cloth non-attached. so it can be placed over solids without being glued to something allowing it to be fully effected by any movement using solid bodies.

  • buy it/illiely download it(thats what i did)

  • Google it =)

  • thnx but im glad i kept 3ds max on my computer now lolz

  • Haha :)

  • damn now i need 3dsmax

  • Haha well I provided the mesh in part 2 so you don't need 3ds max to do the tutorial.

  • @mrpigy12 Dude...Houdini is alot easer for cloth

  • This is cool as i also got 3ds max, will you do a tutorial on how to import guns and players into UDK, but skip the part on how to make them.

  • Sure I can do that. I will show you how to load static and animated mesh's.. Need to go make an animated mesh to use though. Will do that later I suppose.
