Well, I don't know about a time viewer, but a good old fashioned (?) time machine... I'd go back to the Library at Alexandra with a digital camera and record all those great works we lost....

There was actually a show on Channel 13 (PBS) a while ago that showed all old pictures of NYC, and they took you on a walking tour. I love old stuff like that too.

I just finished reading "Five Points" about the immigrants in the area that was depicted in the movie "Gangs of NY". Although they weren't the first settlers, it was an amazing how changes in the way we live today came from this area, i.e. housing, religious, adoption, draft, and voting.

There also is a pictorial "Old NY in Early PIctures" that I have just gotten from the library.

heeee, guess you can tell I'm immersed in NY history at the moment.

my friend + I were walking to the Library and this guy I like is walking in the opposite direction. As he walks by, my friend (who is VERY outgoing) says "Hey Baby" and he thought it was me. So he stared at me for like 10 seconds. She says that to all guys but I never do.
